My first Moroccan experience: awesome. The hospitality was great and attentive yet not annoying at all. Food here is amazingly delicious. We ordered Chicken tangine, and Kabobs to share and were super impressed with the quality of the food. Tender chicken, perfectly prepared veggies and couscous and excellent Moroccan mint tea. Definitely a must try if you are in the area!

Nice place but overpriced for our lunch, menu with all dishes at the same price, suppose it is a simple way to welcome tourists looking for food. When i asked for explanation about the single price menu, the waiter said it is like this.
Finally, they brought me a reduced bill...

It took us a while to find Restaurante Des Amis as we didn't know which end of the long Avenida Principal it was located. It's at the south end of Zagora in the direction of Mhamid.
We decided to sit outside on the pavement to do some serious people watching which was very interesting.
The friendly waiter gave us the short, laminated menu of the usual Moroccan fare - couscous, tangines and brochettes. Nothing special. We chose vegetable soup (rather strange taste and very oily - the harissa soup was unavailable), moroccan salad (excellent), vegetable couscous and kefta tagine. Sharing the couscous and tagine was quite tasty although the waiter seemed bemused by this.
Apparently, there is a decided lack of good eating places in Zagora so we weren't expecting much and didn't get much.

Central, busy restaurant just off the roundabout. Locals, tourist and tour groups coming and going constantly. The staff worked tirelessly to keep up and did so admirably. The food is average - menu has the usual omelettes, sandwiches, brochettes etc. Not gourmet, but probably as good as it gets given the location.

I've spent about a month in Zagora, and this was my favorite place in the city where I get to see my friends. We always go inside and enjoy the stay under the tent, surrounded by a beautiful art statues, paintings. The food was great, homemade Moroccan dishes available under request. Ask for Mohamed-the manager- for more information and places u can visit and things u can do in Zagora and the desert . I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice place where to relax and get information about the city.

We had opportunity to eat here a lot of times. Always amazing food, nicely prepared, with quality ingredients and perfect service. Highly recommend for those who don't mind to expend a little more to eat in a paradise place.

The service is lovely, the staff remember my name, and are so hospitable, that I genuinely feel at home. When I arrive after long months of travel, the staff greet me with kindness. The food is reliably very good, and the menu is flexible, as sometimes I wish to eat only cheese and bread. The espresso is delicious, and the tea is as well. Said, who I believe is the manager, speaks easy English with me, is very informative. The very first time I visited Ennahda I needed to change Dollars to Dirham, but it was Sunday, and the banks were closed. Said helped me, and I will never forget his kindness. Especially since I love spending afternoons people watching and long conversations at Restaurant Ennahda.
