On the Fischland-Darss-Zingst peninsula, the beach runs between unspoiled sand dunes and the Baltic Sea. Zingst itself draws tourists to its soft, fine sands, ideal for sunbathing; and to its spas for treatments founded on natural remedies. For nature lovers, the peninsula is host to a national forest park and is also a stopover for thousands of European migratory cranes.

Food was ok, service was a little slow. I had the seafood soup, tasted very much like tomato soup with some seafood thrown in. Kids had the schnitzel and burger and they were much better. We should have made Reservations, apparently no seats inside, so we sat outside. We waited 20min for the menus because there were no menus left. Then it started to rain and was offered seats inside, and there were lots of free tables. But overall ok.

It was average in comparison to the other local restaurants in the area but still ok. We had a friendly and helpful waiter that served us. We were seated at a bench and there were decorations behind the bench with ships and bits and pieces. We had a 3, 11 & 13 year old with us, and of course, toy looking decorations are attractive to kids. (Actually just to my 3 year old) this woman comes running out from behind bar/kitchen telling my 3 years old off for touching the ship and then told us off for letting our child touch it & that it was expensive. So, they lost points from me for inappropriate reaction to customers, could have handled it better. If it was expensive, keep it out of reach.

Over the period of a few years, whenever I visit Zingst with friends we eat at the Zingster Stuben.
The Menu seldom changes but it is consistently well sourced ingredients used to make the dishes.
I ate Zander filet with creamed spinach and German fried potatoes( Bratkattofeln). It was delicious. My friends ate Dorschfilet and Matjes. All were pleased.
There is a limited wine list and beer from the tap.
I can recommend this restaurant when in Zingst.

Today I visited to this cafe according to recommendations of trip advisor comments and there I was really found the staff of the café impolite and rude and I will never ever recommend others to visit Rosen garten as its so unfriendly as they really don't care of customers.

The view over the Baltic Sea thru the big glass windows while drinking a cappucino after coming in from a cold and windy fall walk on the beach is perfect. The afternoon cake selection is wonderful and service just right - quick and non-intrusive.
The decor is seeside comfy and the menu broad enough for all.

Location is lovely, on the harbour, coffee was good and strong, cakes were really tasty. A nice place to while away an hour!
