I’m waiting this review after a really wonderful meal.
I have been visiting the Riverside Restaurant and Theater since the late 80‘s and it never disappoints. Fantastic food, amazing service and really fair prices for such a high standard. I can throughly recommend the Riverside.
An insider tip, the Restaurant and Cinema offer a form of pre Theatre meal where a dinner and cinema ticket are included in the price.

Imagine a chocolate box style village pub, beaming with pinkness with a rainbow of flowers around the door. You have just painted an image of the Fox at Newbourne. The pub is a wonderful 16th century building set in pretty grounds.
20 of us gathered for a family lunch to celebrate my Mum's 80th birthday at the Fox. The pre orders were served in good time and beautifully presented. The food was delicious and we had a lovely time. Maybe the pub could have acknowledged mum's significant birthday in some way, although that would be the only minor criticism in otherwise excellent service

We are a family run restaurant. The Royal Bengal first opened in 1982 by Mr Malik and his close friends. The dishes we serve have been specially selected. As well as having the classics we also have dishes you may have not come across before. Whether you choose to dine in or order a takeaway,we look forward to serving you.
First the plus points - nice ambience, friendly staff (although clearly stretched to the limit- I felt for them), and good service during a busy night.
But the food.... Oh dear. This was the most disappointing curry I've had for years. Lazy, tinned-tasting vegetables for side dishes, stock generic onions plus spices etc for over-priced ("specials") main dishes, and doughy cheap naan bread. Not impressed. Given the stellar reviews on trip advisor, perhaps we were unlucky enough to visit on a bad night - although it was a busy Friday....

The Ufford Crown is owned and run by Max Durrant and Polly, with Polly's brother who is the Chef, Will Hardiman. We pride ourselves on our food and wines.Max has managed numerous pubs in London and the Home Counties before taking over The Crown with his vision of creating a 'go to' location with superb service, superb food and superb drink. His brother-in-law Will Hardiman runs the kitchen as Head Chef to create a real 'family team'.You'll always be given a warm welcome in the pub and the dining ranges from full meals to sandwiches and 'light bites'. Come along and 'give us a try', you won't be dissapointed. The large, light and spacious pub has a dining area, plus a bar and 'reading room' to relax in. Booking is advisable on 01394 461030 but we welcome 'walk in' diners and our menu changes daily, using local produce and quality ingredients.
Old roadside hostelry with beams and low ceilings offering character.
Called for weekday lunch when in area and found excellent welcome and Seating in either bar area or restaurant beside- not warm enough for the garden!
Comfortable window seat. Good choice of dishes with starters served with drinks - main courses with excellent battered red snapper and fishcake ordered - all served with choice of salad, vegetables and dressings. Most enjoyable and excellent service. Desserts and coffee available.
Good car parking - disabled access.
Will come again!

We are a traditional quayside pub boasting old world charm, a roaring fire, dark wooden and flagstone floors. A warm welcome awaits you.We produce all our food freshly on the premises, sourcing as much of our ingredients as locally as possible. We are happy to cater for large groups to individuals, bespoke menus on request. We serve a selection of Greene King cask ales and have been awarded the Cask Marque for their qualaity and are members of The Greene King Head Brewers Club, a collection of superior Greene King cask ale pubs chosen by their Head Brewer John Bexon.
We regularly eat at The Anchor as the food is of a higher standard than other pubs in Woodbridge and reasonably priced. While the service is usually excellent, and was for the most part on Saturday, we were a little disappointed when our waitress informed us there was only two small portions of chilli left, despite telling us 20 minutes earlier that there were two whole portions remaining (which had forced me to change my own order). In her defence, the waitress was very apologetic and said she’d only charge us for one portion of chilli if my wife and father still wanted it. They said they’d be happy to if they could have some complementary chips on the side, which the waitress was more than happy to do.
As it turned out, there was more than enough for two, and I’m told that the chilli was warming and delicious. My Malaysian chicken curry and sticky toffee pudding were superb, likewise the roast chicken breast with puy lentil special, which my mother and uncle ordered. The scrumptious lemon curd ice cream deserves a mention too.
Had the waitress not dealt so admirably with the ‘chilli incident’, I may have given The Anchor four stars on this occasion. However, she more than made up for the error, which wasn’t really hers anyway. The food and service was exemplary on the whole. We’ll be back again soon.

www.wildstrawberrycafe.co.uk
The wild strawberry is not the most attractive cafe externally and internally it is nothong special. However owner/staff were welcoming and efficient. They also serve the very best carrott cake I have ever known!! Sandwiches looked to be in the deep fill/ doorstep department too and must be sampled when returning to this area!

We booked on Thursday for the following Sunday and benefited from a late cancellation. The crew were all very friendly and good fun. The information on the local landmarks provided by the captain were very interesting. The boat was a reasonable size for the 12 people customers and we all sat around a large table for lunch. That made us get to know one another which added to the whole experience. We were fortunate with the weather as dry and not too chilly for October. all in all a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

David Grimwood's delightful Free-house Restaurant, serving delicious rustic food in a rather charming, slightly old fashioned way!
This is obviously a fine dining restaurant. I only wanted a drink, but the choice of beers was limited.
