Visitors are drawn to the golden sand beaches of Wadduwa, on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. The lush beauty of coconut plantations gives Wadduwa an undiscovered, exotic feel—perfect for someone seeking a tranquil vacation in Sri Lanka.

This is the most sophisticated villa situated in the southern coastal area 34 km away from the main city of Colombo. This has 10 A/C rooms with all the necessary facilities including hot & cold water. We also have dynamic staff to provide you the delicious meals & comfortable service.
Nice place. We sat outside in the garden. Buildings both sides give the place a cosy and private feel.
Reviews were promising.
Prompt and attentive service, a good start.
First gripe from my teenager - fresh orange juice was more like strong orange squash. So we ordered a lime juice, mixed the 2 and all okay.
Food came quickly, nice surprise there as we have had to wait at other restaurants.
One lobster- over cooked!
One medium prawns - over cooked!!
If you major in seafood you must know how to cook it, surely.
Devilled prawns and shark stake - no complaints.
Not the meal we had hoped for having read other recent reviews. A shame.

We visited this restaurant on the advice of our tour guide Reshni and quickly made it our local visiting it daily, the staff we all always friendly and I now consider them my friends, they made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble they made us some wonderful local seafood dishes and when the spice got too much for me Aunty even made me a cheese toasty (not many places would). This place is right on the beach and the view was just awesome the sunsets were perfect. It truly was paradise.

Prawns were nice but lobsters were nothing but average. The shame was they're sprinkled with tomato ketchup-like sauce. This way, you can't feel real taste of lobsters. They were slightly overcooked for my taste. If you go there expecting much, you'll be disappointed. The place is not bad but too much overrated. I just weigh in to counterbalance the ratings here to put back in a bit of reality.

Firstly this restaurant is no longer on the beach but is well signposted from the old location on the right not far from the Avani hotel. Apparently, the original restaurant was burnt down, which is a real shame as the beach/sunset location would really of made the overall experience idealistic. The restaurant environment is lit with bright lights and lacks an intimate feel, however, that said- the food is very good! We had a chicken curry and there was bowl upon bowl of accompaniments. The owner phillipe entertained us with his card tricks and was keen to show us photos of his previous restaurant.

A nice spot, to chillax whilst looking at the Indian Ocean and enjoying a simple meal. Jani was a convivial host and very helpful indeed and the food was fine.

We had the lobster. Actually we had three lobsters each. The rice and noodles were lovely. They brought me a spicy side dish which was heaven. They were attentive and friendly. The setting is great as you are up one floor watching all the activity in the street below. Definitely recommended.

Spend a day at "Ocean Ripples Resort" and the stay was quite fabulous.
The owners and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was tasty. Also, the maintenance of the villas are great.
The surrounding is very quite and ideal to spend a vacation in a hideout away from city life. Walking distance to beach and the Wadduwa city. The place is best for stay over a night.
But also recommend for group of people for a hangout or a spend the day.
Happy stay at Ocean Ripples Resort!!

"The Seven seas " at The Blue Water.24 Hours Coffee shop / A la cart Restaurant.
This review is based on a married couple in their 50's without children. We stayed at The Blue Water Hotel between 9/12/16 and 22/12/16, we dined here numerous times during our stay. The dining area is situated in a open sided hallway just by the main reception, ideal if your preference is to eat outside of the air conditioned dining areas as ours is.
The food here is magnificent, my wife and I dined here many times during our stay and sampled a few delicacies on the menu. The staff are attentive and courteous, tending to your every need. The food is to die for and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be dining here during our next visit to Sri Lanka.

Exquisite food and service in tasteful and beautifully crafted setting. Best seafood curry we have had in Sri Lanka! Also tried the baked crab which was excellent.
