The Lord Kocken started in 1998 in 's-Hertogenbosch and since 2000 located in a beautiful old pawn in Vught. Our dream has always been that we wanted to open a restaurant where the guest feels comfortable, a relaxed atmosphere and where pure and (h) can honestly eat. In short, flexibility, a friendly atmosphere and hospitality are for us in the first place. That it was awarded a Michelin star in 2008 is of course our great pride. The Lord Kocken works with a small core team, with the extra hands in the kitchen of students and / or interns who want to learn the trade. Precisely because we are a small team work, everyone is attuned so we go together for a successful evening for each guest. We hope soon to welcome you in our restaurant. With warm regards, John Kocken and Kirsty Kocken-Lord Team DHK
If you are on a budget, turn around and walk away. If you want to experience some truly spectacular food tastes, make a reservation and come here. The kitchen is open and visible from many tables. The preparations are carried out in haste but with a efficient and professional manner. The foods are assembled and created to bring out unusual flavor combinations. The wine list is meant to compliment the food but also stand on its' own merits. Overall an amazing restaurant in Vucht. Never would have expected it. Glad I happened to stumble upon it with a friend and we came back bringing others.
On this evening with 5 friends, we tasted and talked and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I can not remember all that we ate. I can say the scallops were tremendous. The crispy tortilla with fresh tuna was as visually stimulating as it was tasty. The venison perfect. And the desserts to die for.
I always bring a camera because I can't remember all this so some photos are attached.
In the end, it was a great experience but probably on the pricey side for many.
Well worth making a reservation and marking that special occasion.

Kasteel Maurick, an à la carte restaurant, brasserie, hotel and events and meeting centre is hidden away on an island in the River Dommel. Located less than five minutes from the A2 motorway it is also the ideal meeting place for business guests and gourmets, and thanks to its countryside location is the perfect starting point for walkers and cyclists. In addition the castle provides various rooms for a wonderful party, a romantic wedding or a business meeting. Come and discover why a previous visitor reacted so enthusiastically: “It’s thanks to the waiters and the kitchen crew that we can look back on an unforgettable day.”
We recently had an outside dinner in the courtyard of this beautiful restored castle.
All details for a most succesful courtyard dinner were there: a hot summer evening, beautiful surroundings, excellent service (under the watchfull eye of and with assistance of the ever so friendly Marleen) and last but not least the dinner itself.
We went for the three course menu of a delicious tartar of langoustine, with grilled scalops, asparagus etc, followed by rack of lamb, done to perfection and a nice choice of various dessert dishes. A nice variety of amuses was served in between the courses and a special touch was the handing out to all present of a fresh rose, whereby the actual flower was replaced by some nice fruit. Last but not least, the coffee was a happening on its own, served with a great assortiment of tasty little bites.
Obviously, we are not the only ones who discovered this place, as is being witnessed by a round red sign, marked 2017 Michelin.
We highly can recommend this lovely castle, which is open all year for lunch and Dinner.

For me, this place is somewhat nostalgic. Together with my parents, we used to visit this restaurant at least once a year. We always ordered the Gyros platter. The food is great, and so is the atmosphere.
Furthermore, the prices are average for a Greek restaurant. Making it both appealing for a long dining experience, or a quick eat.

one the few authentic Japanese restaurant in The Netherlands, small, family business, friendly and cozy.
Shiro is THE place we go to celebrate anything. It's run by a lovely Japanese lady and the food is amazing! It's what I imagine real Japanese to be. It's not an "all you can eat" sushi place that the Dutch love to eat at, it's a real dining experience. Get the sukiyaki!

Ff Swanjee is a young and new restaurant in den Bosch, with something nice for everybody. Hospitality, Quality and Experience are the fundaments of our philosopy. We only work with products of the highest quality, mostly organic and home made. We create a cosy and hospitable ambience so you can enjoy alle we have to offer for a fair price.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, great staff. I have just added some pictures. If you are in this area, this is I guess a must go.

You will find Michelin-star restaurant Sense across from Het Noordbrabants Museum, at walking distance from St. John's Cathedral, on the Verwerstraat in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (also known as Den Bosch). Chef de cuisine Dennis Middeldorp puts pure and always fresh ingredients together to make surprising and subtle taste combinations. Experience the team’s honest hospitality, an ideal way to round off a visit to one of the most beautiful town centres in Brabant.

“Orgasmically good”
To our great surprise we received a Michelin star three years after we opened in 2008. Sense is also featured in the 2016 Gault&Millau guide and the Lekker Top 500 (Tasty Top 500), the leading Dutch restaurant guide. Of course we are proud about these reviews, but our primary ambition is still to allow our guests to enjoy exciting dishes in an uncomplicated atmosphere. For this reason, we are even more proud when our guests give us feedback such as “Orgasmically good!” and “Enjoyment with a capital E”.

Different dishes every month
You can order the smaller culinary dishes on the menu in a random order, but you may prefer to allow yourself to be surprised with a four to eight course gastronomic menu. These dishes are different every month, inspired by the changing seasons. “When I am creating a dish, I want to bring together the essence of different flavours in a composition that will fulfil and delight. Flavour, colour, texture, the atmosphere in the restaurant: everything has to be just right,” says Dennis. Sense welcomes international guests with an English menu and multi-lingual staff.

Experience ’s-Hertogenbosch
After an inspiring visit to Het Noordbrabants Museum (with of course extra attention for the works of Vincent van Gogh and Den Bosch native Jheronimus Bosch), a spiritual experience in the world-famous St. John's Cathedral, an adventure by bike or on foot in the marshlands of Het Bossche Broek or a historic canal cruise through the town centre on the Binnendieze, you will be able to relax at one of the tables and enjoy your meal. You may even have a similar experience to the guest who concluded the following: “This restaurant deserves a second star.”
We went to Den Bosch to see the Hieronymus Bosch exhibition, well aware of that Sense lies quite opposite the place for the exhibition, Het Noordbrands Museum. Both
the exhibition and the restaurant exceeded our expectations. We had a most delicious three-course lunch accompanied by well selected wines. We especially appreciated the casual atmosphere, seldom seen in star rewarded restaurants and the conversation with an enthusiastic sommelier. And perhaps most of all the flashes of Bosch's imagery in the design of the courses. (See photo). Finally we regarded the bill as a gift from somewhere above.

We come here regularly and we love the ambiance in Die 2. Niels is a real good host, he makes you feel quite welcome. We love the food, everything is very tasty, and if it is not at the menu you can still order whatever you like. They are very flexible. That's why we feel at home at Die 2. It's a pity they are not open for lunch...
