Made feel very welcome. Family run the Hotel. Mr Rustika is from Slovenia and dresses in his native clothes. Mrs Rustika has great English and is very knowledgable on all things food and wine.
The decor is old and very traditional. Fire burning in the corner to give a smokey taste to cooking.
It is clear that the owners are very passionate about their food.
The fresh sardines for starters were fantastic. Best ever tasted.
The shelled prawns done Croatian style were fab. The steak also really good.
Finished with a bottle of local red wine. Delish.

Visited tonight as a family of 4. Seated promptly but took ages to make an order for drinks and even longer for food.
Asked 2 waiters for food recommendations and 1 refused to even answer, the other struggled to suggest anything.
Wine was nice, good local wine and good value for money.
Food was ok. Kids has pasta with tuna which was tasty and spag Bol, again tasty and both good portion sizes. I had pork with special sauce which was tasty but a little tough and hard work with a blunt knife. Wife has pork kebabs which were very plain and dry.
Overall wasn't too expensive but the service let it down as very slow and food was just okay but no more than that.

We looked for a place on the internet and finally found "Tambo" via tripadvisor!
It's a cute little restaurant in the small and quiet village "Tribunj". When we arrived we were cordially received by the very kind waiter (who speaks lots of different languages: italian, german, english and croatian!).
The food was really nice!!
The first night we ate at "Tambo" we had a plate with grilled meat, fries and djuvec rice which was really good and filling, too.
2nd night we had bekka (don't know the exact spelling..^^) but apparently this is typical for Dalmatia (or whole Croatia, not sure).
This is just beautiful! We had calf meat, the guy who owns the place with his family (=waiter) told us especially for becca he goes to different butchers to check for the best meat and buys it freshly, so you have to order it a day before (2 persons min.).
You get a big pan full of meat, veggies (potatoes, peppers, onions,.. ), nice oil, fresh herbs and some bread to dip in the oily sauce hummm, yummy!
Tonight is our last night in Croatia and guess what? We're gonna go to "Tambo" again!
Enjoy

Nice service and tasty food. We had some fish meals and some meat meals. Both were very tasty. Fish fresh, nicely done on grill. The price was according to everything. All in all, we were satisfied.

Loved this place. The burrito was honestly the best I've ever tried, which used Mexican ingredients in a Croatian wrap. Unique, and absolutely delicious. Nice house wine too!
The waitress spoke perfect English and was funny.
Would certainly return, Best meal we had.

Excellent location with great potential. Cheap interior design. Dirty table cloths removed only after our request. Most of the staff is totally confused (several waitresses running around and communicating quite loudly), some of the staff was even inpolite, and a few clumsy (2 out of 4 waiters dropped sth on the floor). We ate only 3 dishes - shrimp cream soup, green pasta with salmon and prawns, and mussels alla white buzara. The soup, as well as the pasta, tasted well but was overcooked. The mussels were just fine, fresh and not overcooked, and the buzara sauce tasted well and was not too salty. All in all, below average, but with a great potential because of the position.

My family and friends came to see our friend Drazen, several times each year, again this April & May!
Drazen, the owner and his family, the entire crew is just amazing!
They really care to give you the unforgetable feeling that will make you come back again and again.........
If too many people know this place, it might be crowded soon, so please *Pssssst*
Kindest regards!

We were invited to restaurant Rico by our good friends. Lovely terace, quick and profesional service. Sea food - we eat octopus salat, mix mussels and fish from the grill.
Traditional, simple, but very good. Local wine was OK. Pleasant experience not very common for the area!

This is a favourite of ours and we have never been disappointed. Burin is one of the less obviously tourist orientated restaurants on the Vodice waterfront. We had a simple lunch sitting in the outside Seating area. We had a seafood spaghetti, fried shrimp pasta and a plate of grilled vegetables. With ½ litre of beer and two glasses of the very acceptable house white wine our bill came to Kn 260 before service.
The food is good, nothing elaborate but well executed and served in good quantities. We highly recommend Burin in an area where standards are not always high.
