The restaurant has a nice ambiance: is spacious and elegant without being too elegant...I had a salad and my colleagues had pork and liver. We all enjoyed the food and the wine! The Deserts are great, too! All in all, this place is absolutely worth a visit while you're in Vaasa.

Welcome to our ambient cellar to enjoy good food, wine and Finnish craft beers. In our century old bank building we prepare Tasting Menus and Gastropub food with local ingredients and a lot of passion. The restaurant consists of a Fine Dining area and a Gastropub. On both sides we serve an la carte menu. In addition to this the fine dining is dedicated to our "GW7 Tasting Menu", a seven course tasting menu bound to tickle your taste buds, along with a wine pairing for the menu. In the Gastropub you can enjoy beers and ciders from small Breweries in Finland alongside a gastropub menu. We also offer cooking classes for groups in our Kitchen Studio where you can spend an unforgettable evening cooking with Ostrobothnia's top chefs. As most Finns, we also have a sauna on the premises, which can be booked for the evening.
Basically the first restaurant we bumped into when walking around Vaasa. The food was excellent, especially the reindeer steak. Not that impressed with the service as they didn't manage to deliver the main course and side dishes at the same time. Portions are rather small. Fairly expensive as we paid 160+€ for 3 starters and main courses, no aperitifs or wine, just soft drinks

Restaurant Seglis - Local food by the Sea We open our season in the beginning of may. Lunch and a la carte restaurant with a wonderful view of the water and an own brewery in the attic. Open daily in the summer and on request in the fall. In December we offer Christmas lunch and dinner.
Archipelago Tapas ( Saaristolaistapas), an intelligent fusion of mediterranean tapas. Lime marinated whitefish( exellent), salmon, lam, salami, ham, salad with feta ost, olives, local bread.... Nice location with view to the harbor. This is a must for a summer day. SO GOOD :)

Magokoro is always incredibly occupied and popular and getting a table may require waiting outside. But the waiting will be worth it, the sushi here is incredible and you will regret you didn't order more. The vietnamese service is very charming and fast. They offer a wonderful variety of different kind sushis and other asian meals you can taste the freshness in everything they offer. If it wasn't so difficult to get a table here, this would be ones of the best places to go for a light lunch.
