I haven't been to Cafe Romeo for a quiet a while and has changed hands and under new management.
Service 8/10
Was polite, efficient and your standard cafe fair nothing extraordinary to write about but not unpleasant. More mechanical and going through the motions which isnt bad just not overly friendly.
Food 7/10
Just like the service there was absolutely nothing wrong with, just not blow your socks of material. However it didnt put a step wrong, except for putting fries on a full breakfast with a hash. Please just the hash and can I suggest a commercial quality hash brown, homemade is ok as long as it is a good hash brown. Unfortunately this was not a good has brown.
Price 5/10
$80 for 3 mains and coffee is ok if yiur service and quality supports the charges. Not so in this case, at around $55-$60 it would have been value at $80/its overpriced.
Overall impression is a solid 7/10, good effort but try harder.

The smell of the wood-fire drifting down the pavement was enough to make us check out this rather cool restaurant. Our party of three were attended to quickly, professionally and by a delightful and happy young waitress. We started with the wine lovers platter (think that's what it was called) which was superb, the pizza bread crisp and perfectly cooked. We also ordered three entree size pizzas - which are a generous size and the rib-eye which was cooked to perfection (Med/rare). There were plenty of staff on and we were well served - will definitely be back! Cheers team.

Kiwi style food from 9am. Order at the counter and we will bring it to your table. The kitchen is never closed while our doors are open. Whenever you come in the full menu is available.
Ordered the fish and chips and it was huge. Two huge pieces of fish, lovely batter and fresh fish. Loads of chips too. They do offer a smaller portion which I will definitely order next time. Nice side salad. Great friendly and helpful staff.Thank you Charmaine. Our staff (most have been here between 5 and 7 years) love interacting with the customers, most of whom are regulars. Our business strategy is good fresh food at a reasonable price. I'm pleased you enjoyed it. Regards, Murray

Unless your about to bite your arm off I would not recommend eating here I waited for warm milk with a slight coffee taste, the food was dry, over cooked and expensive, the atmosphere was very edgy as the kitchen manager was yelling at her staff and Barking insults with out any care for the customers. Definitely wont be coming back.

Enjoy a unique dining experience at Curry Workz Indian Restaurant with delicious food from our menu of authentic Indian dishes and wide range of dishes cooked in a traditional Tandoor (Deep Clay) . A special menu for children is available at the restaurant and we do Bookings for Private Functions/Birthday Parties
We were in Upper Hutt on business and dined at Curry Workz twice in the space of a week. The second time they remembered us and the fact that we prefer basmati rice with Indian cuisine to jasmine. We dine frequently at an Indian restaurant in Sydney and the food compares well. We notice there are a lot of Indian restaurants in Upper Hutt so Curry Workz has done well to be number 1.

Great little cafe to pop into for lunch. Cabinet food and cooked meals available. We both had the chicken filo with plum sauce and salad and yummy it was too.
The owner is very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Will be visiting again when we can.

We have dined here several times over the last 3 or 4 years, either just the two of us or with a larger group, 12 to 20.
Always the service and reception were first class, freindly and welcoming.
The premises are not large but what is there is well maintained, clean and interesting decor.
The service was excellent and even with the large group the wait for food from ordering was not unduly long espeacially considering the size of the group.
The food was wholesome, well prepared, tasty and plentiful.
On top of that the cost was very reasonable.
Always happy to go back to this restaurant.

Have come here a few times recently for lunch on the weekend. Always has been pretty quiet in the restaurant. They have some good choices for lunch. I have had the chicken burger a few times and was pleasantly surprised with it!! Really delicious. Would recommend for a quiet and relaxed lunch.
