Tasty! Fresh! Satisfying! Excellent attentive staff and service. The dining hall is very clean and well decorated. I enjoyed the couches too.You CAN have this food every day. We're open every day aside from Yom Kippur.

Styled in traditional Ukrainian style and offers modern Ukrainian dishes. I was happy that I could find something for my fussy eater and she really enjoyed it. Something I did not like - specific smell, and Russian music playing non-stop did not added to Ukrainian style (in my opinion)

"Serge" - one of the most elegant and stylish restaurants of Uman, where you can enjoy excellent cuisine and relax.
Visited this restaurant on Saturday. Bad day. Be careful when book this place on weekend. We were sitting outside (4 persons) in little shed and same time were 3 weddings in restaurant. We were tortured by different music from weddings. Waiter was nice and prompted. But wasnt knowlegable in his work and had no experiance serving western tourists. We ordered wine and he brought already opened bottle. He did not put utencils in the right place and we remind him to bring glasses for water. However he recomended good dishes to order. Food was very good and tasty. Careful with total bill in the end. They add 10 hryvnias per person for orchestr and more than 10% service fee. This place is overpriced. Not sure if I want revisit them again.

U'man is a relatively poor town. This restaurant is about the one of the best in town. It is in the old city center on Lenina street, the main street.
It has table cloth, WiFi, decent waitress service. I am having coffee and cheese cake as I am typing this review. The cake is a little too sweet for my taste but nice presentation, looks as good as any upscale cafe in major city.
Last time I was here is three months ago. I had a late lunch, brought here by a local. I remember the meal was decent, though not completely satisfying. I felt something was missing. But consider the kind of town this is, it is probably as good as you can get.
There are two dining rooms, one with table cloth, the other is more casual. It is 8:30 pm now. There is live music with a guy there singing and party of 10 to 12 women dancing. The music is loud and boomy. Whether you will like it or not, it all depend on your mood.
If you want a comfortable place to sit around and have a cup of coffee, this is as good as you can find in this town. I have been in the town twice for a total of 6 to 7 days. it is so small that you can from one end to the other in a little more than half an hour.
In short, you will be hard pressed to find a more upscale place than this in this town.

we ate here several times . get a private room . some nights there are loud birthday parties in the main dining area ... very clean appearance and toilets very clean .
cuisine is extensive . over 100 items on the menu . portions are very generous and prices are very good .food arrives at your table in an as it is cooked manner .
every thing from Quaill to carp .
waiting staff are young and efficient, and they do smile when pushed to ...
on a nice evening it is nice to eat on the Terrace, but around dusk there is a raven colony across the street and it can be rather loud ...
but i visited 3 times and i think that is recommendation enough .

The venue is situated on a cozy side street 1 block from the central square of Uman. It has two parts: a summer Terrace, which is a restaurant proper with waiters and regular restaurant prices, and a self-service restaurant inside the building with very cheap prices. We’ve been twice on the Terrace for a lunch. Well, the service of the waiting staff was quite pleasant and courteous but slow (it took us nearly 2 hours for a lunch) and far from the European standards. For example: we were served soups, salads were later. One soup was served very quickly, while the other one – 20 minutes after the first one. So one person may eat while the other will watch. The same happened with main courses and side dishes (the latter are ordered separately): they were not served simultaneously for all 3 persons at the table but (as it seemed) as soon as the dishes were ready, with big intervals and side dishes were served when the main courses were almost consumed. As for the quality of the food it was very contradictory as well, Ukrainian dishes like borsch and meat main courses like Chicken Kiev and a kind of cordon bleu steak (don’t remember its name; pork stuffed with cheese and ham) were excellent, while baked potatoes were almost raw and mashed potatoes were disgusting. The restaurant offers also Italian and Japanese cuisine. I do not know how they do the Japanese one, but as for Italian, I must admit they obviously are not keen on it. Conclusion: a good place to have a quite decent eat in Uman, but with cautions.

Went to this place tempted these few opinions on trip advisor. The place turned out however really nice (industrial surrounding). The food was good and the prices moderate.

Absolutely love this place. I'm a big foodie and choose my restaurants very carefully. After living in New York, traveling around the globe and eating in the best restaurants in the world I thought nothing can surprise me anymore. But this place was sooooo unbelievably good, every dish created a party in my mouth :) We ordered borscht, lots of dumplings, potato blinis stuffed with different goodies, fish, meat...we didn't have empty space on the table. But if you are a light eater, definitely try mushroom soup and a whole fish, can't go wrong with that. In the end Chef Lyudmila surprised us with some complementary vodka shots :) I really hope to be back again this summer.

As Zastava is No.1 on Tripadvisor as for now, we've decided that there is no other way than to visit it.
Having arrived at 4 pm on Sunday, we found a wedding party held inside. Nevertheless, there was enough people besides the wedding party.
To understand which places could we occupy, went to the cafe, where the staff told us 'simply go there /unknown destination, repeated twice/, we'll reach you in a minute'.
So, we've chosen a table outside, even pressed a 'call-a-waiter' bell. In the next 15 minutes we've been watching as waiters walk slowly, keep small talks, have rest etc. Nobody even brought us a dishlist, although we pressed the bell twice, and it was working for sure.
Another news is that there was totally russian music performed by a girl from the staff.
After 15 minutes we left, and hope will never get back.
