An excellent restaurant which is in the white guide
Carlsson's Skafferi is the one of the best restaurants ever!!! Small, very well decorated, the favorite spot for the locals. Mr. Carlsson is a superb owner who waits on you personally and will take the time to advise on the menu, which is new daily and features local fare picked out earlier in the day. Try the fixed price menu!! Make sure to get the dessert!! Let him know what you like and take the time to enjoy one of the best dining experiences you will ever have. I have had the pleasure of dining there several times and can't express how well Mr. Carlsson has served us. Call for Reservations and to make sure they are open. Whether busy or not, this is the place everyone remembers in Ulricehamn!

This is a coffee shop/Italian BAR that serves a variety of pizzas, salads etc. Went for lunch and the tuna salad was as excepted and the price decent. Relaxed atmosphere and extra bonus points for catering non-alcoholic Italian beers. Rare to find. Would absolutely go back for lunch again.

Great for breakfast and lunch. Friendly staff and a good selection. One of the only places to find an English style breakfast (bacon and eggs). Outdoor Seating, as well as indoor Seating.

Ming's Palace in Ulricehamn is like any Chinese food place in Europe. Good but no surprises. The menu has Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese dishes. Servings are, as always in Chinese restaurants, very generous. Weekdays they have a lunch buffet.
Service us friendly and observant.
Every time I have visited the place it is almost full, so it must be very popular with locals.
If you fancy a Chinese meal, try Ming's Palace.

Previously my wife and myself had enjoyed good meals at Kallbadhuset, but this time were extremely disappointed. The starter of Tiger Prawns were in a sauce/dressing that was too liquid. I ordered a Fillet Mignon theoretically with sauce when it arrived it was swimming in a liquid more akin to Au jus than the sauce it stated in the menu, the meat although tender appeared to have been cooked in a casserole dish with none of the attributes of a well-cooked or grilled meat and the bacon bits that came with it were basically soft bacon fat. My wife ordered a Torsk Tournedos (Cod with Mussels) this also arrive in again what can be described as soup as opposed to a creamy sauce plus the Mussels were dry and overcooked. Certainly for the price this was not a good meal. As to the wine not spectacular and certainly not cheap. Unless there is a drastic change will not visit again

I was very pleasantly surprised by India Garden. The food was very tasty, with freshly ground spices that smelled of genuine Indian food. Even the Massala Chai was with freshly ground spices, not a pre-packaged or spice mix in sight.
The chili was finely ground, and mixed very well with the rest of the spices. And they're not afraid to spice it up, I had a medium spicy dish and it was medium Indian spicy, not medium Swedish spicy.
The chicken was well done without being overcooked, and it wasn't boiled and dunked in water, like some places do. The shrimp was large, tasty and not overdone, and the naan was generous size and perfectly baked. Also, staff was very friendly and attentive.
Definitely worth a visit if you're in the vicinity!

Went back to Jenny's with some business associates for dinner and had a great meal. Although my associates are traditional meat and potatoes guys who had never eaten Thai food, they enjoyed the meals and will likely try it again. My food was great, chicken was very moist and tender, which one of my associates also commented on. Next time I'll try the beef which I usually avoid in Europe. The server didn't speak English so she had another help who spoke it quite well and both were very friendly along with the owners, and we felt very genuinely welcome there. Soup was very good and spiced just right (but a little warm for my associates...lol)! I would eat there more often if it were just me or was with people more used to Thai food. Very nice place, will definitely return!
