One of the most romantic restaurants in the lake of thun region. Take a boat or the train from Interlaken to Thun, walk over the wooden bridge at the river to the lake - there you'll find our Restaurant. In the daily actual website you find everything about us - including an english menu and the wine list.See you soon in Thun
We were walking out along the northern Promenade to Lake Thun itself and spotted this restaurant so called in on our way back on the off chance. An attractive lakeside house with an upper verandah looking out over the riverside, so we had fun watching the people go by. We were not amazingly hungry so had an absolutely delicious soup with peas and mint (the broth being poured onto them) and a very good mixed salad. Very tasty Pirouette white wine to accompany. Not particularly cheap but worth it for a very pleasant experience.

A simple and small restaurant with very good food and sometimes friendly, sometimies less friendly service. The ground floor is a bit tiny and the ambiente not that great. If you can, choose the 2nd floor which is more spacious and more romantic. I am a pizza eater and can defenately recommend them.

Food and atmosphere are really perfect. So peaceful, beautiful view, friendly service, delicious food...and plenty of it! We couldn't have asked for anything more! However, the price range given here on Tripadvisor is not accurate, the price for the whole meal, incl. drinks, starters and dessert was over 100,-CHF per person. Well worth every Rappen, but still worth knowing, especially when you have to bring cash!
Will come back for sure, but this sure is a place for special occasions!

The food is very good. The appetizer portions are big (SEVEN spring rolls!). Like most Swiss dining, it's expensive, but relative to other places, it's reasonable. They have outdoor Seating in the plaza, which is very nice in good weather. Service was great.

One can find good food in Switzerland but it usually is somewhat expensive. Here we are far from the big cities and have managed to eat at a reasonable price: 109 CHF or $120 for a 2 x main dish, desert and a beer. There are in fact 2 restaurants in this hotel: a fancy one with fancier dishes and a family type one with wooden tables and chairs inside but not nearly as attractive as sitting on the Terrace – weather permits. The chef is the same as well as the basic ingredients.
Tip: The location is hard to find and a GPS is a must.

Italienisches Spezialitätenrestaurant
We had a light lunch here on the Terrace overlooking the river in Thun. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was good (a mixed Italian antipasto and a pizza). Reasonable prices for what we had.

I had a lovely evening with my family (3people) the service was excellent and very attentive, which is important for me. The food was simply delicious and the main course was served by the chef himself! They had no problem with a little extra wish, like some extra sides. Further the stuff was very friendly and natural, it gives you just such a cozy feeling. The ambience complements these feelings as well, even though it is modern it remains warm and nice. I can truly recommend the Austrian kitchen. The pictures shows the "Kalbshaxe with gratin" (very good!)

We stayed at the Frienhof Hotel at the end of June & we're very pleased to discover this restaurant just across the road which made a brilliant alternative to hotel dining. The staff were not only very efficient & responsive but also amusing & charming. We ate here twice - the first time having delicious pizza made in the show kitchen pizza oven.On the second occasion my husband had a beef stroganoff which he thoroughly enjoyed whilst I had lamb.I asked for it to be cooked pink which it was, & it was extremely tender & succulent with a beautifully flavoured seasoning - possibly the best lamb dish that I've ever eaten! We also had indulgent puddings, very naughty.Would definitely eat here again.

Went on a Friday evening and learned we should have made Reservations. Every table was filled. Instead placed an order of fried rice and pad thai takeaway. Not as spicy as I would have hoped for Thai food. Service was great even though they were very busy.

We had a family lunch in this cory restaurant. The owner is an interesting and friendly character and we loved the fact that the pasta is homemade and very different from normal Italian restaurants as it is typically Venetian. The negative points are small portion sizes and the food arriving at the table a bit too cold. We would go back.
