We had dinner here one evening. The building is old traditional wooden Thai right on the river bank.It has a bit of a retro vibe and they play good music. The menu is extensive and good tasty traditional Thai. Our table overlooked the river. Prices seemed ok to me,it is after all a restaurant not a street stall, and the setting is worth paying for. There was even a little art gallery downstairs showing a local artists work.

Our Home Made Ice Cream is made fresh and only with the best ingredient. It is smooth and tasty. You will feel the different from the first bite. Also our Pasta are home made and and with a lot of love.
Nice little hotel with four rooms in the city of Phetchaburi. Rooms are cosy, spotless clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast is delicious - homemade bread, hefezopf and jams, eggs, cornflakes, joghurt, fruit and lovely fresh brewed coffee. The team is so friendly and helpful. We also had dinner here. It was tasty and soooo good. Homemade pasta and pesto. If we ever come back to Phetchaburi, we'll stay at Swiss Palazzo again.

Welcome to Didine restaurant Enjoy your dinner in a pleasant relaxing garden atmosphere, Owner and experienced Chef Franck from France guarantee's you a culinary experience at a very reasonable price. We only cook fresh produce to order, no microwave or pre-cooked meals.
We love to eat at Didine Restaurant, because the restaurant atmosphere is very pleasant and the meals are very 5 STAR VIP delicious and professionally prepared personally by Chef Frank. Our group enjoyed a chicken steak and a veggie meal and a Thai meal. The staff was extremely professional, Chef Frank presented a YUMMY culinary style meal, and we truly felt very relaxed and happy at Didine Restaurant. We will be back many more times. Thanks....

Hidden in a dark lane with poor signage, this is strictly a place for locals to get together. While the food is authentically Thai with emphasis on tastes and ingredients indigenous to Phetchaburi, you can find similar dishes in places with far easier access. Its retro decoration to the fun times of 50-60 years ago are interesting, with tin toys, old photos and car wrecks scattered throughout the restaurant. Those items, however, do not warrant a long trip into the deeper recesses of a purely residential area.

We (me&hubby) went here basically because of the great reviews here. I never put too much weight on the whiny ones, even though there were a few of those aswell. We had had a looooooong day in Hua Hin and were starving, so we ordered four dishes. Spring rolls (not spectacular, but good), shrimp Sandwich (really good), fish & chips (very good) and the very well spoken of pasta carbonara (no idea how it is). We know that in Thailand you can't expect to get all dishes at once, which is totally ok, makes the meal more of a "let me taste your dish" kind of a thing. Everything else came dropping to the table, but the pasta had been forgotten. We waited for quite a while and enjoyed the three dishes, but when about 40 minutes had passed, we had eaten most and just had to check if the pasta was on it's way. The teenage boy, who had waited on us perfectly well and had even inquired if we wanted the egg on the carbonara, ran to check to the kitchen, came back and said "I'm very sorry, I'm very sorry". We said no problem and foolishly thought that now the pasta will come in just minutes. Well it didn't and not the kid nor anyone else came to say anything to us again. We had to really make an effort to get the check even. The pasta wasn't on it so fine, but still a very confusing dinner. We were so tired that we just let it go, paid and went. I still don't get what had happened. Had the boy ordered the pasta and the chef forgotten it and didn't want to make it anymore or had the kid messed up and forgotten to order it all together (which seems unlikely, because of the inquiry about the egg)? This whole experience nagged on me, so here we go with the long review... In a nutshell: the food was good, the service was ok until the big confusion and ignoring. We won't go again, the food is not worth the possible hassle. All of the other customers were Scandinavians and seemed to be happy with everything, I guess we Finns don't get the same level of service ;)

The owners of one of the condos near ours both mentioned Monta so we decided to try it. Around the back road from Baan Talay Samran it takes about 7 minutes on the scooter. The place is spotlessly clean - the kitchen is stainless steel and would be the envy of many Australian chefs. The cooks here put out excellent food at very good prices. I suggest you get there early as it becomes very popular with local expats - mainly Dutch and German who seem to treat it as home. We thought the food was so good that we went there for dinner three nights running.

Nice, Thai restaurant along the river, good ambience, friendly staff. Food is very good, great green curry with seafood, spicy salads, mixed vegetables and very tasty fish! They make nice fruit smoothies and from 20:00 there is live music. This is loud, so if you don't want, eat before 20:00.
Nice place to have dinner, they stay open till 23:00. It is a bit more expensive than the local food stalls/restaurants, main dishes are around 100-150 thb.

We tried this place after Reading the reviews (& helpful directions given by 1 reviewer) & we weren't disappointed. We were melting with the heat & opted for smoothies (mango & blueberry respective with added yogurt). In addition to being very cooling they were delicious....MoreDear Scousepeasant, Thank you for your review. We cannot say anything except thank you. Came in by chance as it was late in the evening and the kids were very hungry by now. Wanted to eat in one of the open air seafood shops but the kids protested and asked for some place with air conditioning. so we ended up here.
On weekends, it can be difficult to find a place to park, and since this shop is actually part of the small hotel (the owner rents the place from the hotel), you would probably need to park in the hotel area itself, which is not much of parking space really. We managed to squeeze in somehow with the help of the hotel staff, but when departing had to use all my skills to manouvre out of the limited space (have to reverse all the way out to the beach road).
The shop itself is a small place, very friendly owner who will recommend dishes for you. We had pork and rice and chicken teriyaki and rice for the kids. I had the salmon pizza and jelly frapuccino. After that, the kids has ice cream (ete brand, picked from the fridge), and some home baked cookies.
They open early, from 6am where they serve breakfast (the typical western breakfast), the place offers strong free wifi which we very much appreciated. Much of the business comes from the hotel guests (I see many young western travellers favoring this hotel), they have their fill of waffles, pancakes, pastries, burger, pizzas, sandwiches.
Just along the beach road so you cannot miss it, and very close to the Narathip 3-way junction
