Located on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough, opposite the entrance to Albert Park, Central Park is arguably one of the North East’s favourite Restaurants. Central Park first opened it’s doors in December 1985 and has been providing excellent food and service ever since. We cater for every occasion; be it a quick bite to eat at lunch or a birthday celebration on an evening, we provide the highest standard in food and service. So whatever you're celebrating, Central Park is the ideal venue.
Called in for early evening meal with colleagues from work. Great selection of gins and tonics - presented very nicely. Watermelon and cucumber tonic water is probably one of the tastiest ive had. Bar staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
Unfortunately, the food let the place down. Battered garlic mushroom starter was sitting in a pool of oil from the deep fryer and the mushrooms were uncooked inside the batter.
Pasta was over cooked and mushy, although in a nice sauce.
Service was good, given that we were in quite a big group.

Really classy restaurant on Norton High St. Lovely food and a great atmosphere, always busy. Expect high prices a little over the top I thought, a decent two course meal and few drinks will cost you not far off £90/100 but obviously people keep coming back for more.

I heard that Tom chef/patron was going to do meals I the evenings, and having a trial run on 1st and 2nd December. We booked for the 1st, for a tasting menu night.
On arrival we were offered a glass of Proseco or an Italian beer, we chose 1 of each.
bread and olives were brought to the table, then the starters, Caprese salad, Bruschetta and Melon with Parma ham. All excellent.
On to pasta with tomato sauce, and with ham and asparagus. Again all excellent.
Then the pieced'resistance, sea bass with Italian potatoes, as my wife said " that was worth every penny".
Then dessert a selection of Italian pastries, no complaints.
We ordered a bottle of Montepulciano wine along side, excellent.
This was one of the best meals I have ever had. I look forward to when the evening menu is available, so I can indulge my inner passion.

Caruso. Our great authentic Italian restaurant offers a unique and welcoming environment in which to share life's best moments with friends and family whilst enjoying our delicious food, dessert and wines. You'll be greeted by the enticing aromas of freshly home cooked meals which has been our focus since we opened our doors over 35 years ago. Italian food has long been synonymous with health, tradition, culture, history and authentic taste. "A tavola non si invecchia.- Italian proverb. Translation: "At the table with good friends and family you do not become old." We have a small but pleasant bar on entering, the menu is served in the restaurant, the feel is warm and welcoming. Rocco the owner, time permitting will greet you and show you to your table, he has been cooking all his life and brings Italian charm and good humour to the table.
I’ve reviewed here quite a few times but absolutely love coming here and love the food and service we get. They never rush you and love the potato skins with garlic dip and garlic bread starters. For our mains I always have Pollo Diana- gorgeous, the other meals ranged from Parmesan chicken, omelette, cannelloni, pizza etc. Food was gorgeous and another great night. We’ll be back in Easter. Thanks again for a great night

Booked a table and asked if we could come 15 minutes earlier, which we did. When we arrived the restaurant was very full but we were shown to our table table. Ordered a bottle of house wine and some olives and dipping bread and water. The wine came and reminded them about the olives and water. Waited for some time and still no olives. Asked a waitress who got me some water. Eventually someone came for our order. Also you normally each get a slice of garlic bread. That didn't appear. Main meals were nice and so ordered desserts. DON'T order the Eton Mess, it's over priced! Came in a glass that was mainly cream-2 pieces of fruit and a tiny amount of meringue.
Next time I think we'll book Caruso's. You get better service there and meals are just as good and possibly cheaper. Not impressed Santoro

If you are passionate about great food, look no further! The Vane has been trading as a pub for 200 years, with a beautiful garden enjoying rolling views of the North Yorkshire Moors. Under new ownership as of 2015, we have kept our traditional bar and real ales, whilst renovating the restaurant and creating unique and exciting menus using fresh, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.
