Ate dinner at this restaurant within the Parkhotel in Matrei. The menu had local dishes. They have a lovely Terrace at the back and a well stocked salad bar. I can highly recommend the Fiakergulasch. Came across this place on Christmas Day and stopped off for lunch. OMG! The food is divine and if you ask they will do gluten free. Can recommend the walnut soup and apple cake. Absolutely wonderful and the little shop down stairs is a find.
They don't speak English though! So take your translated app if you don't read german/austrian.

Ate here for my anniversary and was not disappointed. This lovely cozy hotel had wonderful food made from local ingredients that was beautifully presented. Price was also very reasonable, 50€ for two including drinks. This place should not be missed if you are in the area.

A cozy pizza place in the lovely Fulmpes village, with great variety in variety of Italian food and flavor.
Always very busy so it will be wise to reserve a table in advance.
The food tastes just great, the atmosphere is fine, the people running the restaurant are very kind and very helpful.
I believe that it really worth to visit it.
We are regular clients every time we visit Fulmpes.

We found this gem driving around and seen the sign and went to check it out. Decor very warm and relaxing. I had canederli and goulash and my partner sauerkraut and speck canederli, both of which were absolutely delicious and obviously homemade. We went back a 2nd time and plan on staying there. The owners were very kind and it shows they put pride in what they do.

Good value food - allergens marked clearly in menu. Small area for non-smokers. Staff very friendly.

The traditional Austrian dishes were very good. Our server was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely eat here again. Could have done without the strong smoke smell from bar area.

We loved this restaurant. Friendly service, great value for money and a change from the Austrian cuisine. We were surprised to find this restaurant here, but can certainly recommend it.
We almost didn't visit, because the inside isn't visible from the street, so it was a bit of a gamble. Luckily it paid off.

After the hard (for us) walk up from the Meiders lift, we were in need of a good lunch, and were happy to find it here. It was very busy, and service a little slow, but the BernerWurst and Pommes Frites was a huge portion, and very nicely cooked. It's a beautiful building in a gorgeous location.
We were a bit disappointed to see a big car park after we walked up, but that justified the big lunch.
There's a little gift shop selling some unusual gifts (hand made soaps etc), and you can restore yourself with water from the healing springs afterwards.
A lovely place to take in the views and have a meal.
