Menu offers a good variety but not extensive. Views are very good in the lower level which has about 10 or 12 tables. The upper level has another 8 or so tables with no so good views, Waitress were very nice and friendly like typically Newfoundlanders but not what I would call professional. You could call it local charm. Food was hot and tasty but not spectacular. Reasonable prices.

At Pizza Delight, our pizzas are legendary because they are prepared with dough that we make fresh every day in our restaurants, our secret recipe pizza sauce, and the freshest toppings. Our Italian inspired menu has a variety of mouthwatering food that is sure to appeal to everyone’s taste. Entrées also include our famous Super Donairs, Garlic Cheese Fingers, Signature skillet dishes featuring fresh vegetables, chicken and seafood, panini sandwiches, pastas made with a selection of meats, fresh vegetables and signature sauces, delicious salads and our signature desserts.
Typical PD location food is the same at all of them - this location suffering from large take out order swamping lone kitchen staff person the night we went and we had to wait. Service was OK considering we had a trainee - he got our order wrong but it was not worth fixing we waited too long and we ate it anyway - only Pizza restaurant in small town so not much choice - would recommend you take a pass.

We serve Newfoundland cuisine prepared for hearthy souls who like to experience the richness of a Newfoundland kitchen. Home-style, full-flavored and exquisitly presented , our meals are always a delight. There is an excellent view of St. Anthony harbour from our dining room. Our dining room hours vary throughout the seasons. Summer hours are 7am - 9pm.
We stayed at the attached motel. So, in the morning we had breakfast here. Reasonable prices, quick service. Can't vouch for lunch or dinner, as there are superb choices in the area. But for breakfast, this fit the bill to start our day. Food was tasty, just not remarkable.

Jungle Jim's is a restaurant chain. They recently added a location inside the Hotel North in St. Anthony. Swing on in and visit our Location Today!
We stayed at the hotel attached to this restaurant and stopped in for a quick lunch before heading off. I had the bbq chicken club and my husband had the fish tacos. Both were excellent, and the home made fries were delicious...and plentiful. It hardly looked like I made a dent in them and I was full. Their lunch menu was very reasonably priced...$10 and under for the meals.

Did the Vikings eat such food? For starters, the cold fried cod tongues surrounded on a plate by dried smelt/capelin (tough like beef jerky) were on the table when we arrived and looked unappetizing. They were placed on long picnic style tables set with white placemats with cutlery missing. Seating was on wood benches that got very uncomfortable over the dinner period. Tables were chosen at random to approach the buffet. Our table was the first up and we were ready for dessert when the last table went up for its dinner. The doors opened at 7; the buffet line started at 7:45 so it could be awhile before the last table got served.
The food was not tasty with overcooked sliced roast beef served in one corner of the pan while chunks of moose stew in gravy were on the opposite side of the same pan. The rice dish mixed with small shrimp was flavorless but it was an option to the meat. Another pan held chicken breast chunks in a creamy sauce; another choice was fish. The thick slices of carrots were partially cooked and were mixed with chunks of potatoes, a jigs dinner. The mixed salad with a raspberry dressing and roll were two buffet items I really enjoyed. Dessert was served on plates. Water, coffee/tea were free and other drinks had a charge. It wasn’t to my mind “a Great Feast”.
Be prepared to eat in a very dim, simplistic room that is supposed to look like a Viking commonhouse. Servers and MC are dressed in costume to add to the atmosphere. The entertainment starts during dessert with the MC describing the procedures of a Viking Court where grievances are heard and immediately judged. This part of the entertainment involves audience participation to bring up grievances and to decide on the sentences. I wondered what the MC would do should there be no volunteers. Unfortunately, there was no microphone so at the back of the room where we sat it was difficult to hear the grievances as the participants talked too quietly. The MC should keep the number of grievances short to move the proceedings along and limit this to 30 minutes with no more than 2. Anyways, after sitting on the wood benches for 2 1/2 hours, it was time to get up – awfully uncomfortable.
This restaurant shares their out of town property with the Lightkeepers restaurant where I probably would have had a better dining experience. I shudder when I think how much I paid for this evening out through my tour company.

St. Anthony’s has several places as lunch options from Jungle Jims, Mary Brown’s Chicken, Subway, to Pizza, but we always look for a Tim Hortons. I like their chili bowl that comes with a good sized roll ($4.69) as it is a filling dish and always is good no matter what Tim Horton’s café I eat it in. We always go inside to eat lunch, too. Service is the same at each Tim’s – girl who takes the order also fills the drinks order which slows down service and creates a line-up. I found a table without waiting and didn’t have to ask someone to share their table with us. Washrooms use air driers – no handpaper – so room looked tidy. A good place to eat if time is limited.

Bright, clean establishment and friendly staff. Your standard Subway fare but this location offers a small gas station, market and laundry mat adjoining which allows several needed chores to be accomplished at one time. We washed out clothes during our meal, bought some needed items at the market and fueled our rental car. For the several day visitor in the area it serves well. The washers are small but efficient, as are the dryers.

This is a small and simple restaurant with few amenities. However, the staff was friendly enough.
There are combo platters on the menu but I opted for the buffet which had about 18 different foods. Nothing was particularly tasty but nothing was awful either. Temperature was lukewarm. There were the usual Canadian "Chinese" foods and nothing overly authentic. Reasonable price.
