We have visit the restaurant today June 4th with 3 friends. We all ordered different food and none of us was content. I had gnocchi which I expected to be made of potatoes but they looked like some pasta clumps. One of my friends had spaghetti carbonara and - they really didn't taste authentically (no Parmesan and no egg). Lasagna didn't taste right, the meat tasted weird. At least my friend who ate a broccoli soup was okay with it. The beer which they offer was good. Unfortunately it's not made there, but in the Czech Republic. Not to be so sceptic, the atmosphere wasn't bad.

Very polite and nice service. Food waiting times ok. Quality of the food at very high level, no pre-made frozen goods. My wife is celiac and very sensitive to the glutene, but here every celiac will be happy. The best was the price: lunch with drinks for 4 ppl for less than 20 eur.

We were introduced to Sotto by a Slovak friend who suggested we could do better than the usual restaurants we'd frequented for the past 9 years... good heavens, was he right!
To me, pretty much everything about this place is great: the unprepossessing approach belies the super Italian/Italianate restaurant therein. We have been here four times over the last couple of months and each time the experience has been great.
A couple of nights ago we took friends from London who were bowled over by the atmosphere, friendly service and great food.
We struggled to agree on a wine so were invited to scale the dodgy stairs down to the cellar and picked one for ourselves with advice from the charming waiter. This was a real treat - as was the wine - and it set the evening off on a great footing.
The food was good too! Although the menu changes regularly, look out for the home-made pasta with clams as a starter. I then had lamb cutlets - pretty much a rarity in this part of Slovakia - which were cooked beautifully.
Having just dropped our friends back to the airport, we will be back soon for more of the same. Whatever they served with the fresh pasta, I will have it!
This is a lovely and unpretentious restaurant.

Located one floor down, the ceiling was all cut stone arches. The atmosphere was very different. Broad menu - Everyone liked what they got. Good service.

All the things considered, excellent evenings. Really nice and friendly service. Food tastes very good and the amounts are huge. Very very cheap, which makes it impressive value for your money.
Menu also in English, but the font is horrible. Difficult to read. Otherwise no improvement ideas.
Very recommendable!

Nothing fancy, but tasty good local food for very reasonable prices. The location in a tower which was part of the city's fortification is charming. The view of the moat and road less so. The Terrace with a small playground for kids is the perfect spot for a quick lunch when the weather is good. The indoor part is also quite cosy.
The food was great. We had a pork schnitzel, lamb goulash and a local specialty pirogy with brynza cheese.
The service was friendly and fast. All in all, solid food and service for very reasonable prices - 100% recommend.

We came here for some drinks on Friday evening. It was the only place open on the main square in Levoca. An okay experience, nice staff though the wait for the first round of drinks took some time. Quite a lively atmosphere given how dead the rest of the city centre was, which was appreciated. Haven't tried the food as the kitchen was already closed.

We had a duck, slovakian dumplings (not to be confused with the stodgy and hard western style dumplings, these are light, airy and steamed ) +red cabbage, the portion was very generous (no kidding! ) .the meal was delicious, personnel friendly and prices reasonable. The...MoreGood afternoon Mrs. Bridget J firstly thank you for your visit and good response to our services. Have a nice day. Yours sincerely M. Strublik

The wide choice of cuisine includes traditional Slovak, or international dishes, depending on your preference.
We used this restaurant as we stayed in Ubytovani for one night. As we arrived rather late the restaurant was about to close, but they kept it open for us. Apparently there is some outdoor Seating, but we stayed inside, in a small room right next to reception. The food was fresh and tasty, giving an insight into Slovak cuisine.

I visited in my first day there and then I didn't go to any other place. Excellent food (specially the meats), a lot of beers. Excellent service (the waiters speak english), good price. You can go alone, with your friends or with your girl. You can get beer direct in your table by an electronic tap.
