We were greeted in a lovely friendly way and shown to a very pleasant table. We were beside a radiator, but that was lucky too because the evening was very cold. The staff were very efficient and drinks were soon served along with delicious bruchetta. Our main course was ordered after a while and my lemon sole was really good, and my husband enjoyed his veal. Desserts followed and they were gorgeous.

We are a country pub, located 14 miles from Boston, 8 miles from Skegness, we boast a large car park, beautiful garden with patio and heated smoking hut.Inside we offer a large conservatory overlooking the garden, which leads into the public bar, with 2 drinking areas and a separate dining room on the side overlooking the countryside. We close all day Monday and serve evening meals from Tuesday to Saturday evening and lunches from Friday to Sunday. We get very busy in the evenings and on a Sunday Lunch, so we do recommend to book!! We offer fresh prepared food using reputable suppliers and make majority of the dishes here on sight, we pride ourselves on Proper Food in a clean comfortable cosy yet modern village pub with restaurant.
My wife and I went to the Barley Mow tonight to celebrate our Pearl Wedding Anniversary. This was the first time we had been here to eat, but I had researched the restaruant before booking. When we arrived, we both received a very warm welcome...MoreHello Shaun thank you for your review, sorry I'm late replying, we were super pleased to read you review and super pleased you enjoyed your meal. Attended planned lunch party which was outstanding. Pre planned menu with outstanding choices. I had homemade pate, followed by excellent lamb casserole, which I want the recipe and chocolate brownie sundae. Every mouthful was devine. How they manage the service so prompt for such a large party, I don't know. The owner and staff are just lovely and made our lunch a memorable time. Very reasonable prices. Presentation of food taken with care. Definitely recommend

We drove around Skegness for a bit and couldn’t find anywhere we fancied eating, so I did a quick google and found this lovely place. From the outside it doesn’t look particularly enticing but, once inside the decor, candles and music were lovely.
The service was efficient and friendly and the food was fresh and tasty I would definitely recommend. Lovely. X

Been regulars here since moving to the town over 3 years ago and recommended to many friends and family due to the food and service. However rang on Saturday night to book a table for two on Sunday. Asked four a specific booth which suits my husband due to his mobility problems. Regulars here will know that the space in some booths is limited even for the able bodied A male member of staff said our request was not a problem and was booked for us. Arrived on Sunday to find the table being given to the couple immediately in front of us!! I did say we had booked that specific booth, but was met with the response " well its not in the book!"". I was made to feel like a liar, yet had been told the night before that my request could be met. No apology, just "well would you like to sit at another table?" Well no, my husband can't, for personal reasons which I do not intend to disclose on here. Needless to say we just walked out. We went to another establishment which catered for my husband's disability and we enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch. I must add I do not think the owners wife was present, and if she had I would think the scenario would have been dealt with differently. The young members of staff did not seem at all bothered. We will not be back.

The Bell Hotel is located in the small town of Burgh le Marsh which was once an ancient Roman settlement. Just off the A158, set between the popular seaside resort of Skegness, about five miles east, and the beautiful tranquil hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Both locals and visitors are always made to feel welcome at the Bell.Batemans XB is always served along with a good range of wines Food is served daily from bar snack to three course meal, in either the bar or the restuarant. All the meat is from the local butcher. The restaurant can also be turned in to a function room, ideal for parties or small meetings. Various catering packages are available. There are also eight en-suite bedrooms and three self catering cottages which are located in the hotel grounds.
We had a party of ten of us and we all went for the early bird deal. We all enjoyed and to be honest there was more than enough, saw the larger meals coming out later and think it would have been way to much.

We always get a warm welcome the service is outstanding. The food is fab. Staff very attentive and have never felt as welcomed in our locals as we do when we come here. The food is well cooked.
