We have been visiting La Sitterie for several years now and can honestly say that we have never been disappointed . The chef Jaques is a master in his field, his dishes are a creative and during the years we have been going there we rarely have the same dish twice. The staff are brilliant and make you feel at home and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. We have travelled a lot and eaten in many excellent restaurants but I can honestly say that it's hard to find one that we enjoy eating in as much as this one.
It's fairly small, seating about 24 people so it's necessary to book well in advance. In the summer months there is a really pretty garden you can eat in and at night it looks lovely with fairy lights around. This restaurant is well worth a visit.

My colleague and I stumbled across this place by accident after visiting the Chateau's on the hill. We were both starving and craving something spectacularly tasty along with a glass of wine. Little did we know that half a dozen of our students were also dining inside. I didn't venture in but they told me later they were eating almost exactly the same meal as us.
The penne was soooo good. Best Ever. We sat outside and watched the world of Sion pass us by. Watch some of our students choose their own eateries and pondered over our Performances with the Choir so far.
A delightful cat came and went to say hello. Sweet.
Switzerland isn't cheap but fortunately, I wasn't paying so we had a lovely meal for a price that I would call mid range.
Staff were helpful - English was so-so but that's okay.
I'm not sure what my colleague ate but he was raving about it as well.
Gosh, I wanta return just for the penne. So fresh, light and delicious. Thank you.

The location is very good, the main courses (fish and meat) were excellent and the starters good, but the service totally inadequate for such an expensive place. Two of the 4 persons had to wait almost 10 minutes to get their main course, which was very embarrassing for everyone because one of the fish dish ordered was already on the table and getting cold . The day we were there the Deserts were not good.

This place is really good, you can choose a meal like a gastronomic or you can choose something seperate ! You can eat a vegetarian meal really nice! The red wine is amazing.. So just go if you like eating something good! A sophisticated Italian-inspired cuisine and a friendly and professional service are the hallmarks of Da Vinci!
rather by accident we ended up on the Terrace of Da Vinci (the neighbours took too long to even see we sat on their terrace), and took the lunch menu. It is a bit more expensive than most snacks and brasseries, but at least you get decent food. It is much more value for your money, and at least what we got was above average (the trout tempura is excellent)

Have visited this restaurant on a couple of occasions, always popular, with excellent service.
Would recommend reserving a table.
Meals are probably the best I have eaten in the area.
Menu different during the week to week-end, I prefer the weekend menu, more choice.
Looking forward to my next visit.

Our establishment is Sion's oldest Italian restaurant. Located five minutes away from the city center and the train station, at the intersection of the valley routes d'Hérens and de Nendez, between the two highway exits, near the Tourbillon stadium. On the lower level, the dining room is air-conditioned. On the ground floor, the brasserie has a meeting room for twelve people and a room for a group of thirty to forty people. You also have access to two shaded patios and to free parking in a large parking lot.
I went there a couple of times, as this place used to be the reference in matter of pizzeria in Sion, at least for the south side of the city. It's now disappointing.
Service is bad, not synchronized
the quality of food is bad : pizza do not have the quality of a good wood oven pizzas, they add some kind of spices on them which make them all smell the same.
But the worse was for the pasta : really awfull spaghetti served there, in an italian restaurant. This is a shame !
The place is ulgly : decoration has not been updated since the 70's.
I would not recommand

The place has class, beautifully decorated. Love the choice of colours and the setup. Its a bit small though, however the space was well used, lot of room to move around. The tables are neatly setup, simple and sophisticated. The lighting is perfect, not too much light which really creates an ideal atmosphere.
The service was great, the waiters were attentive and genuinely friendly. They were able to answer all our questions about their dishes. They met our demands with grace and a big smile. I was really impressed. Their service is 5* . We left really late and no once did they showed any signs of annoyance.
We ordered the menu of the day/night, there were two entrees, the first one was foie gras and aubergines, I love the tastes however there was just too much olive oil. Was hard to eat it, was forced to eat bread with it. The second entree was daurade with rice. Was really good unfortunately, for me this kind of dish would qualify as a main dish, instead of an entree. It was heavy and I was hoping for something more light, that would stimulate your taste buds. The main dish was a choice between lamb and beef. The beef was absolutely delicious. Dessert was really good. First time to discover the taste of absinthe, can eat this ice cream all day long.
The price was cheaper than I expected. The restaurant is well known, a lot of people recommend it so I thought it would cost. Wasn't the case at all, a main dish for CHF38-60 is decent.
I would recommend this restaurant and I would definitely go back. Great place to have birthday dinners or company dinners. Or just drop by for a drink.

etablissement gastronomique moderne en ville de Sion proposant une cuisine de saison au travers de menus surprises 1 etoile michelin , 17/20 Gault Millau
Had the summer menu with wines. 7 courses, but only one of the starters had a touch of magic. Desserts were on the excellent side, but one of the main dish was clearly a flop: sweetbread with some guacamole, very strange, sweet ann lacking contrast. The rest was on the (too) classical side and although excellent was lacking the Master touch we were expecting. Serving rhythm was a bit slow but improving for desserts. Wines were exclusively from Wallis and generally very typical and well chosen, some excellent, a good deal for the price. The place is quite comfortable, Seating is good, decoration on the wall ugly, but I guess it's a matter of taste! Service is probably the best you can hope for in Sion, that is still with some progress margin… but rather efficient. Overall this is quite a nice place, certainly worth a stop if you're around but still away from a couple of Michelin stars…
