Located just up the hill away from central beach and a little bit less touristy. Excellent restaurant with all day menu and Mediterranean twist. Excellent service good wine list reasonably priced. Portions large and we shared zucchini pasta and smoked trout flakes. Very good. Service very helful and comforting.cappuccino brilliantly decorated.

Flavour of India is a proud restaurant institution in Sydney, often referred to as the best Indian restaurant in Sydney - our menu captures flavours and cooking styles from every corner of the beautiful continent that is India.
Tripadvisor community, you've failed me for the first time.
# 2 (out of 2000) in all of Sydney in the moderately priced category? You can do better.
Context: 7 Keralite Indians looking forward to a delicious last meal in Sydney but was deeply disappointed.
Service: Hard to enjoy when the staff seem angry and snapping at each other.
Food: Why did the chicken Tikka masala have curry leaf in it but the dishes that are supposed to have it not have any?
We ordered the chicken Tikka masala, butter chicken, Kerala beef, green curry fish, and special Dahl.
I have to be honest: none of the dishes met my expectation for the #2 restaurant in Sydney (out of 2000 ). I wouldn't have placed it even in the top 500.

Really amazed how good the food and service was at Kouzina Greco , I ate there on a busy Saturday night while staying in Parramatta and it was outstanding.
Food was delicious, a shared starter of 3 dips with flatbreads was wonderful, some asparagus with croquettes excellent, beef stifado and lamb souvlaki for main just as good.
There is a wine list or BYO for A$10 corkage. The staff were super friendly, fun and so happy to help but do book as it gets incredibly busy which is not surprising as it is so good, you will not be disappointed.

Took close friends here to farewell them back home to Canada, also my birthday. One of the best Thai restaurants I have been to. Alex our waiter was attentive and very friendly - along with all the staff. The cocktails were amazing and the food exceptional! And then there was the surprise birthday gift and dessert - with a happy birthday song by staff. Don't let the size of restaurant fool you - the service, food and the buzz the restaurant had was second to none. Then the $$$$ to spend at their gift store was amazing. We will certainly recommend. Thank you to all.

The culinary corner stone in the heart of Darlinghurst, Malabar enjoys a long-held reputation for excellence in food, wine and hospitality. Executive Chef Mohammed celebrates carefully sourced local ingredients from nearby farmer's market, where he collaborates with local growers. Chef Mohammed's innovative and skilfully executed dishes deliver intelligent compositions and delightful flavours, carefully married to our Australian wine list.
Chose this location after checking other reports on Trip Advisor. Highly rated with lovely food and excellent service. Chose the banquet for 2 for choice and had take away left for next day, still delicious. Went on rainy Sunday night, still very busy, best to book beforehand. Highly recommend.

The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the lovely surroundings. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the countryside setting. But from the moment we placed our orders, we felt complete ambivalence from our waiter. The food was excellent; the lamb rump was as tender and flavourful as we've tasted. But we had the feeling that we'd offended our waiter somehow. He was quite busy, but it just felt off. The bottom line was we had a sensational meal and felt uncomfortable the whole evening. Such a shame. It could've been perfect.

We’ve had lunch at this lovely positioned restaurant with a group of friends. Food was delicious, great ambiance, well mannered wait staff however every time someone was leaving the table to wash their hands, extend the car park or ... they were asked by a waiter (two older men in particular) where they were going!!!
Also i found it a bit odd as in the middle of our conversations they were coming/interrupting us to either offer some rosewater/scent to refresh our hands or other reasons, felt like they constantly wanted the attention. (Probably an arabic cultural thing) and i could see some other tables were very happy and enjoying the experience yet for us it was too much.
Also the same guys were shaking hands with everyone entering/leaving the place :)))

World class food prepared by properly trained European chefs and served by friendly, knowledgeable Waitstaff.Fully stocked bar, excellent wine list and terrific Allpress coffee.
This place was nice. Food was fresh. But staff were just ok and I’ve had better meals elsewhere in Coogee. Don’t understand why it’s no 1. Atmosphere was nice and I like the location. But all in all, it was just ok.

If there was such a thing as minimalist dining, Sixpenny would be it. Everything is refined sophistication. No unnecessary sauces, smears, seeds, flowers or dusting. It is not every restaurant that a chef of the year serves you your order. But this is how it's done at Sixpenny. The person who cook will serve and explain the course to you. Be great if other restaurants could do that.
My only gripe is that the three desserts were all ice cream based. Surely a hot one could be thrown in? Also there is no hot expresso coffee available to warm you up after. Otherwise an enjoyable evening, excellent food and service

Killer coffee, incredible food and a relaxed vibe right in the heart of Surry Hills. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
First morning in Sydney after long haul flight from UK. Found this place round the corner from where we are staying. Inconspicuous outside, inside, light, clean and chilled atmosphere, obviously popular with locals. Friendly service, greeted straightaway and invited to choose a table. Great choice of freshly cooked breakfast. We chose the full cooked breakfast, and smashed avocado on toasted sour dough bread. Good presentation and perfect cooked poached eggs. A good brew of tea with proper leaves.
