Nice older type pub with atmosphere. Very friendly staff and huge portions. We went twice. First night I had the seafood pasta. Very generous serve of prawns - but not much else in there and the sauce was quite bland, just tomato not other flavours. Second night I had the Blue Grenadaire , grilled with veg. The fish was lovely, two large fillets, but the meal was spoiled by the veg, the potato bake had bacon in it. I don't eat meat and found this most distasteful. Veg, to me means veg!

T's Chinese Restaurant is family own and operated catering business and specialise in "paddock to plate" "ANGUS BEEF, BERKSHIRE PORK & DORPER LAMB" are all farmed by the owners using low stress, free range stock management and the owners also grow their own chemical free organic produce. Here at T's Chinese Restaurant we believe that to make quality food you need quality produce and ingredients and nothing beats home grown organic produce and home grown beef, pork and lamb that had a happy life and no stress!
This BYO restaurant has a captive audience during rowing events and charges accordingly. Prices are very high and do not match expectations - $26.9 for a main.
Food is ok but nothing special. Food is quite bland and overall quite salty.
Crockery provided for eating is a very small cereal bowl with high sides.
Of note is the level of service here which is overall pretty average, and the old Chinese Mama-San who runs the restaurant is particularly rude and is not suited to a service industry. The young waitress is much nicer.
All in all quite disappointing - probably wouldn't come back. This restaurant will not survive in the current format. Stick to the pub.

We went here on our stop in Sheffield. Nice old building, great decoration and little gallery in the back. The walls are full of different art so there’s lots to see in the cafe. Staff is friendly, our café latte was a bit too hot...MoreThank you for visiting us and taking the time to comment.

We moved to Sheffield 8 months ago and thought it was time we checked out our local vineyard. Well what a great surprise it was. A beautiful spot and a very warm welcome on a cold day went a long way towards setting the scene. The wine tasting was delicious and complimentary since we were having lunch - we particularly enjoyed the bubbly and the Pinot Gris. We started with the house made bread - which was amazing - along with ham croquettes which were creamy and very tasty. We then had their vineyard platter - honestly the best we have had anywhere in Australia. It included very generous amounts of terrine, ham, smoked trout, salad and pickles along with more bread. Could not have enjoyed it more - the house made terrine and pickles were particularly memorable. Finished off with a shared brownie and a couple of wines to take home. All in all a spot on experience - could not recommend it more.

A casual but quality restaurant Featuring local Tasmanian Food and Wine producers plus world class music shows. Available for functions. Here's what Tasmanian Food Guide say about us....Mountain Mumma is the place to be in Sheffield for great Tasmanian food, wine, and world-class live music. The produce is locally sourced, and the menu is varied with something for everyone. Great friendly service, with the meals reasonably priced."
It was during the Australian Masters Games that we went here, so the menu was limited but good and the music was put on for free and was top standard. We'll go back again for the full menu which is good Tasmanian produce

The night we used the RSL there was a Lions meeting so it was fully booked. Nevertheless it was a pleasant venue with good service and banter. Pokies for those in need. Great facilities to be used but not our night. Recommended

Large open cafe which unfortunately means it is very noisy when there are lots of patrons inside. The coffee was almost undrinkable, but the milkshake was very good. A good selection of pastries, sweets and breads were available. Popular with locals and visitors, the cafe is bustling at lunchtime.
