We had a lunch stop in this very quaint pub. The food was really good and excellent portion sizes. Look forward to eating here again

Staff were very welcoming, efficient and courteous. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and tasteful décor. All three courses were delicious with good sized portions. I have no hesitation in recommending. For my party the only improvement would be some smooth background music. We will definitely return.

Home cooked English pub meals. One of very few where you can have proper sit down and warm & tasty meal. There are lots of comfortable chairs to choose from, too.
Reasonable menu with meals, sandwiches and snacks, good food, good value, friendly service, eat in or out, car park level inside, but can't avoid steps to get in, least at front door, two but no rail or grab handle. There isn't a lot of Garsdale, which is where the pub is, not Sedbergh, which is 9 miles away, so the fact that it was busy must be due to its location on the approach to Hawes and a junction with the road to Kirby Stephen. It also lies alongside the Settle Carlisle railway line.

We serve breakfast, lunch, main meals, cake, coffee, tea, beer, wine. We provide home cooking using fresh local produce, free Wi Fi & are very dog friendly.
We stopped here based on others experiences on TripAdvisor. It is a small restaurant/cafe, with a decent size menu plus all the usual cafe options.
We were served quickly, and the meals were excellent. Had we stayed in the area longer, we would have definitely returned.

This pub is fantastic! Really friendly locals, and visitors, and very lovely bar staff, especially Trish and John. Love the open fire too! The food is absolutely delicious, large portions and reasonably priced! We will definitely be back soon!!!

Quiet Thursday evening visit. Fish & chips for 5 cooked to order were delicious. Standard portion sizes - just the right amount. Would definitely recommend for food - just a shame about the one loo in the shed out the back!

I got more veg! I'm half way though a two night stay and couldn't be happier with everything! At £35 a night to stay I'm actually considering living here.

If you want the best home made meals, cakes and snacks. Fabulous barista coffees and a great welcome in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, then welcome to Meadowside.
We've visited here a few times over the last couple of years and thought it time to leave a review. Well-situated on the road heading out of Dent it's a little gem of a cafe.
The service is excellent and the food is great quality. Having enjoyed breakfast and lunch at this place on separate occasions, it's safe to say that the quality hasn't diminished.

Two rosette awarded restaurant, offering a contemporary menu with a strong emphasis on local produce from Executive Chef Justin Woods and his kitchen team. We offer three different menus; a daily changing three course menu at £34.00 per person, an individually priced main menu and Cumbrian Tasting Menu. Guests can stick to one or mix and match to experience their perfect meal!
Attended this hotel on business and lunch was trout with prawns and was the best trout I’ve ever had. I am a diabetic and Deserts were not suitable but a fantastic member of staff named Jenny sorted me a diabetic friendly desert which was greatly appreciated.
A Scottish breakfast chef took the time to take me on the balcony and show me conferencing facilities and what the hotel had to offer. For evening meal I had a smoked makrel pate for starter and lamb for main and once again it was beautifully cooked and presented.
Breakfast was top notch with all what you would expect from a good hotel breakfast with a variety of options to have.
Lunch was a seafood melody in a white source which was lovely and Jenny presented me with some cheese and biscuits, anticipating acustomers needs a rarity these days.
I stay at a lot of hotels and I have got to say this food was great but the service from the staff was impeccable and Jenny was a gold medal for this hotel
Thank you and will be back.
