Seaham, formerly Seaham Harbour, is a small town in County Durham, situated 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Sunderland and 13 miles (21 km) east of Durham. It has a small parish church, St Mary the Virgin, with a late 7th century Anglo Saxon nave resembling the church at Escomb in many respects. St Mary the Virgin is one of the 20 oldest surviving churches in the UK. Seaham is currently twinned with the German town of Gerlingen.

Prebooked a table & pleased we did as it was packed. Seated & served quickly. Prawn cocktail & garlic mushrooms for starters, both were lovely! Chicken & beef for mains, served with mash, roast potatoes & big Yorkshire pudding, side dish with turnip, peas, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli- good portions & food was lovely. Could have been a little hotter for me but personal preference. Good food & service will defo be back

With a spherical outdoor Terrace and views to the pastoral Gardens, this relaxed and informal brasserie style restaurant offers a menu which combines the use of traditional eastern ingredients within the characteristics of conventional European influence cuisine. Floor to ceiling windows, wooden floors, a central cocktail bar and an open kitchen bring a sense of theatre, Ozone will offer you a unique dining experience.
We visited the Ozone restaurant on a Monday evening as part of a twilight spa package.
We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation but the restaurant was quite quiet so we were shown to a table quickly.
We ordered soft drinks and water for the table and then ordered x2 starters and x2 mains with extra sides. You get complimentary prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce - a small portion but okay for free.
The prawn crackers came long before our drinks, which we had to ask for again, and then no water was brought over which we to ask again for.
The starters - satay chicken and vegetable spring rolls - were okay. The spring rolls tasted like any frozen supermarket ones which were fine but not really what you want in a restaurant.
For main we got chicken Thai red curry with rice and a side of fries - the curry was nice, would recommend, and the teriyaki wok dish with cod with rice and a side of sweet potato fries. There wasn't much teriyaki sauce but what there was tasted very nice. The cod was battered, which had gone soft and a bit soggy, which i didn't enjoy. The sweet potato fries were okay, the sweet chilli mayonnaise dip they came with had clearly been sat out a while (i think under a heat light) as it was practically solid with a thick skin on top.
The service was very slow and not very attentive. We were given glasses of water as they had no bottles - which would have been fine but they never came over to fill the water up. We weren't asked if we wanted any more drinks at any point. And when i wanted the sweet chilli mayonnaise changing the 3 girls "serving" were all at the bar talking among themselves.
By the time the woman who clears up in the spa (who came in the restaurant with a tray of glasses) walked past, looked over and asked one of the girls to come over i was almost finished my meal and the sweet potato fries were cold, there was no apology for the dip being served like that but it was replaced and when she brought a fresh dip over it was nice.
The numerous times I have been to the Ozone Restaurant (always as part of a spa package) have always been hit and miss in terms of the food quality. But the last 2-3 times over 2016-2017 had improved a lot until this visit.
In the past the nice spa and good service have always compensated for the food and while the spa is still lovely, the service on this occasion was below average

We are a 1950s all american ice cream parlour selling top grade ices and award winning dishes, award winning fairtrade coffee and lovely hotdogs at reasonable prices. We are not the cheapest but if you want quality then we are number 1. A family owned business we were the first of its kind in the North East and are still the peoples choice for this type of thing. Queues can be long at peak times (1-5 on weekends and school holidays) so please come prepared. off peak times are 10am until 1pm where you may not need queue of queue for less.
The hotdogs were fine, the cleanliness level of this very popular establishment is horrific, the entire time we were there we saw one table being cleaned, it wasn't that busy of a day and the staff looked very young, a lack of elder presence was evident and there was no real leadership going on.
The turnaround was high but the cleaning just wasn't at the level it was supposed to be.

This is my local Indian restaurant and never fails to impress wether you are eating in the restaurant or getting a takeaway.
We had four starters four mains popadoms and pickles a naan and a japathi with five nots and a coffee for £90.
The food was excellent I had chicken pakora and chicken rogan josh with pilau rice, the staff were extremely attentive and efficient.
Always a great experience.

Started badly, when I couldn't get a drink in the lounge bar, despite trying to get the attention of the member of staff behind the bar. Sunday lunch was interminable, slow service from staff who couldn't care less and are happy to let you know it, strange as the dining room is pleasant and it is trying to be upmarket. It's a shame as it's local but we won't be going back.

Black Truffle Coffee Shop offers a warm and friendly atmosphere and serves a range of hot and cold food including sandwiches, soups, paninis, jacket potatoes, salads, quiches, pies and a selection of homemade cakes and scones. Why not come with friends or family for a coffee and browse in our Boutique?
Stopped for a quick coffee and a bite to eat. Very surprised when we first went in. Pleasantly laid out, very clean. The staff were very helpful. The coffee very good. The prices were reasonable. There is also a small clothing boutique shop within.

Next to dempsey's and lickety split in seaham, along the seaside street.
I like curries and bought a takeway as I was in the house for the evening. It was chicken tikka masala, rice, and naan bread.
I could not believe how bad the curry was - complete tasteless slop! The naan bread was half cooked in the middle and looked disgusting.
I would have taken it back but my wife had the car on night duty. This is a very over-rated place. Supermarket curries are far better! A disgraceful service - and very expensive too!!

Open for breakfast, fresh scones, Tea & coffee. Full lunch menu with specials daily. Bistro & Tapas nights.Outside catering and private parties
We went for Mother’s Day afternoon tea yesterday and it was amazing. Everything was freshly made - I particularly liked the fact that you could choose your Sandwich. Been before and will definitely be going again - in fact already sent message to book the Tapas night on 31 March. Their Bistro and Tapas nights happen twice a month and are well worth it.
