With our family of 5 we enjoyed dinner in this lovely and cosy restaurant. Service was good, food is average. My daughter ordered salmon which was served with lots of green vegetables and she loved it. The pizza's we had were good, but quite filling because of the thick crusts. Nevertheless it's a nice place to visit.

We stopped here for lunch and it was great. Everything we ordered was very good. I especially recommend the fish soup. Desserts were excellent too. The staff were super friendly and very efficient. One of the best places to eat on the island.

We had lunch here with a big group of people and sat on the Terrace which has a nice view on the surrounding dunes.
The choice of food is good, there are quite some local specialties on the menu which is very nice. The food is good and served quickly.
The service is good, the interior of the restaurant is very well done. They also have a cabinet with toys for kids which is great if you have such a big group of which were 2 small kids.
Nice place, you cannot go wrong here.

Location is nice, just right from the ocean even though you cannot see it from inside. No worries with a coffee or a tea, but dining is basic. They only have choice of one wine (on the sweet side), the gamba salad is the same as the salad wich comes with the satay, only with gamba's. With a little more fantasy and a little more effort this place could really stand out. Service is nice though.

Fischrestaurant / Imbiß in der Dorfmitte mit angeschlossenem Fisch- und Meeresfrüchtehandel
The vishandel has been a favorite of my partner's family for years, and they return each summer for fresh herring. I do not favor raw fish, but the fried whitefish was fresh and satisfying. The proprietors remember you, and greet you warmly. The price is reasonable for a holiday location.

The name itself and the appearance looks quite up-standard. Nevertheless, I find it a bit cold and to much pretentious. We only had a coffee and gluhwein there, but it took quite some time before the only waiter had time for us (it was indeed busy). The gluhwein was nice though, although the pricing was a bit more than I would expect. I would say there are better places to go on Schiermonnikoog.

Classic service is such a treat in a very comfortable, cozy dining environment yet with full linens, table settings, style and service. Efficient and expert staff. Truly can recommend the delicious lamb shoulder served perfectly at the table. Wines excellent.

Came here in a weekend late June. Very slow service, poor food, average at best. Prices are fairly high, too. Go someplace else.

Quality restaurant with a cosy hotel and fancy Terrace. Professional staff and reasonable priced meals. If you are looking for a difference in this village and quality food, check in here and taste.
