The “Den Hof Hotel-Restaurant” is housed in a stunningly renovated mansion. The restaurant is well-known for its excellent French/Belgian cuisine. Authentic dishes are produced by the family and guests can choose from an extensive exclusive wine list. The perfect place for your (business) lunch or dinner. Since 2016, Den Hof have a new trendy bar: The Oak Bar. Be it for business purposes or family outings : A perfect place to enjoy and indulge !
Very warm reception in up to date interior with view onthe large garden. Amuses are market fresh and inviting to taste more of the menu. we can recommend the home garnaal kroketten with a fresh trappist beer. After that we had the beef filet with fresh pepper cream sauce. Based on this experience we are sure the other dishes are as good. All made with fresh season products. This restaurant is worth the trip to Zelzate!

Posto carino senza grandi pretese, ci si sente un po' a casa vista la gestione familiare, i piatti non sofisticati ma veramente buoni.
Anche il prezzo molto buono! :-)

Had dinner with two old business friends tonight. The restaurant is modern and stylish without being over the top. The menu card is limited but there is something for everyone. The staff is friendly and efficient. There is enough public parking on a short walking distance. A three course a la carte dinner with one glass of wine is about 70 EUR per person. That is not cheap but I believe it is good value for money

As part of a group we had dinner with around 22 people.
Pre dinner glass of cava and some canapés were served in the lounge area, dinner was then served in a back part of the restaurant.
Very tasty and good service and my steak was very delicious while well done (not rock hard as in most restaurants!).
As it was a set menu (piece of fish or meat), dessert was the same for everyone but I did find it a strange combination so opted for only the ice cream.
Overall a very tasty and delicious dinner and will surely visit again.
Service was swift and good!

Whilst staying with friends we were taken to De Oude Haven Mosselrestaurant. This restaurant is situated in the middle of the town called Philippines.
Whilst Philippines is a small town it is full of seafood and fish restaurants. Their speciality is mussels.
We entered the restaurant, which was packed with customers and greeted by the owner, who showed us to a table.
The drinks list and the food menu is extensive. I had prawns for my starter course and mussels for my main.
The prawns were delicious as too were the mussels. The mussels when they arrived are astonishing. All four of us had the same, and the mussels came to us in batches for two people. The bowl that they arrived in was absolutely enormous.
There were so many to eat. They were delicious.
The staff were attentive, efficient and friendly. A perfect restaurant in which to have a delicious meal.
Highly recommended. A note: all of our clothes smelt of mussels the next morning.

Greek take-away restaurant. Real Greek homemade meals, Greek cheese, wine, herbs, delicatessen and nonfood.
Everytime we are in Sas van Gent we stop at Takis 's Shop. Because he is one of the best Greek cooks in the region and over the borders in Belgium. Evertime he serves with a big smile the Greek way and his food is delicious ! If you are looking for something to take home or even if you pass with you mobilhome or car make a stop at Takis ! He is great !
His greek tapas are mouthwatering ! And his food aaaaach food heaven !

Went for one of their "seafood evenings"
Nice & attentive staff & manager. They took the time to explain everything correctly. Excellent choice of seafood on the all you can eat buffet, everything very very fresh.. two staff opening oysters all evening i.e., very nicely cooked lobster, crab,... there was more than just seafood. There was very nice fish soup, + some warm dishes (we didn't make it :-). Good price/quality relation, premises very well maintained.. lots of parking space nearby..

I know this restaurant because we come here to eat mussels.
Yesterday we had their "fish stew" with asparagus, statice and shrimps with cream dressing and new potatoes.
We got beautiful and super-fresh cod-fish and salmon.
It was a delicious meal; not so cheap, but not too expensive either. Value for money.
