We spoted the restaurant Krone as we walked through town and decided to eat lunch there. The terrasse is spacious and very inviting - however also a bit noisy due to its proximity to the main street.
We experienced the first disappointment whilst ordering already. We were handed the ordinary lunch menu and only after ordering our drinks we were informed that we were handed the wrong menu and only a small number of dishes could be served at the time (note: they said from 2 pm on - however it was not even 2 pm yet in this moment). Which would probably have led us to visit an other restaurant would we have known this before.
Moreover, the table was set wrongly (considering the elevated price level of the restaurant I really would expect more attention to be paid to such basics), the staff lacked charme (they were friendly, but we did not feel appreciated as guests) and the dishes were good but very simple (again referring to the prices I would have expected some more innovation - e.g. offering of special salad sauces / more variety in the side dishes, etc. etc).
Overall, I believe the restaurant has great assets, however, the asked prices are not justified due to the missing attention to detail.

If you happen to be in Sarnen, or passing by (its not far from the Interlaken - Luzern Route), this restaurant offers fantastically presented and freshly prepared pizza etc. No tinned mushrooms or shortcuts - just the best ingredients. Service is friendly, and the restaurant is quite small but nicely decorated. It is the second time we have made a visit, and certainly not the last.

Recommended by a friend and well worth a visit. We had game for the main course, venison entrecôte and roe venison stew. Starters were ravioli and a lettuce and mushroom salad. Chocolate fondant and damson parfait to finish. Each dish was carefully prepared and tasted excellent. Drinks: beer, water, sauser and coffee. There was the option to pay a little more to get a second serving of the main course. Despite not taking this option we still received an extra helping. The service was excellent. Friendly and prompt. Prices normal for Switzerland and value for money. Highly recommended

I have been visiting this Restaurant for many years and still find their speciality chicken in the basket( Poulet im Korb) delicious! Lots of other dishes are also available and equally as good! Very friendly service as well.

Small Thai Restaurant with great food and quite original for such a small place in Switzerland.
I've stayed at the Wilerbad Seehotel for 2 nights with my wife and we went twice for dinner there.
The first evening we had the mixed appetiser plate, the spicy beef salad, the Tom Kha Gai (Chicken and Coconut Soup), the Tom Yum Gung (Shrimps in Spicy Lemongrass flavoured Soup), a special made to order Kluay Boy Chee (Banana in Hot Coconut Milk Sauce which was not on the menu) and a great variation of Kao Knew Mamuang (Original Thai Mango with Sticky Rice and Taro). The second evening we had some Spring Rolls, the Tom Yum Gung again, the Green Curry with Shrimps and a Red Curry with Chicken before ending with two Kao Knew Mamuang again.
I would highly recommend that restaurant to anybody who would be around there and who likes Thai food.

We have been going to the Sachseln Gasthaus Bonhof for many many years, through the change of ownership from one family generation to the next, and even through generational changes in the regulars who come here. Through it all, the GB remains a place where you can find excellent Swiss fare prepared for an almost entirely Swiss clientele, at a reasonable (for CH) price. Alper Magronen, the inevitble fondue and sausage/onionsuace and weiner schnitzel all meticulously crafted and served with great pride. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Sachseln.

No this is no joke! Raphi is the best we have. His dishes are delishes. His creations from starter all the way to the desserts are perfectly composed. The price is high but so is the level of service, hospitality and interior.

4-star establishment immediately adjacent the Brother Klaus church. The restaurant is directly off the hotel lobby, and outdoor Seating is available in good weather. Upscale interior with a quiet atmosphere and large windows. They have a specials sheet: a number of varieties of steak tartare. The salmon tartare was superb. Very highly recommended.

Went to the Seefeld restaurant located bang on the shores of Lake Sarnen, next to the camping site.
The plce has both outdoor and indoor Seating arrangements. Initially, we took some beer & coffee and sat outside, enjoying the Sunshine on the lake front.
When it was supper time (like most restaurants, this one closes around 8pm too), we went inside and had pasta meals along with fries for dinner.
The food was pretty good and bit pricey, but in line with other Swiss restaurants. Service could have been bit warmer though.
Decent place to go when in Sarnen camping site
