We eat here every chance we get and are never disappointed. The restaurant is so elegant, beautifully decorated, starched and embroidered tablecloths, linen napkins, gorgeous walls and crystal glasses. The food is extraordinary and very reasonably priced for the quality. An amazing dessert menu of 40 (yes, forty) homemade temptations to drool over. The garden is lovely but we can't stay away from that fabulous interior. Try a meal there, you won't regret it. Definitely worth the trip.

Had two pleasant evenings at this restaurant. The enthusiastic owners are husband (chef) and wife team. .Open for two years, pleasantly decorated with happy relaxed french service. Tried €19 fixed four course menu first night , limited choice(main course) but good value french cooking. Had €27 fixed four course menu second night, more choice. examples are starters cold meats (good selection), lasagne, tart, creme brulee, excellent big cheese board. Smoked duck salad, lamb, duck, fish, cheese, profiteroles etc.

We went for dinner at Le Saigon, me and my 2 girls and loved it. It's a small restaurant which fills up fast. We ordered a hot meal and lots of sushi ! Very fresh and delicious. The only thing if i had to say something so so would be the mayonaise in the california rolls :(
Otherwise the waitress was super nice and we'll definitely go again if we're in the area.

I've eaten here with family on several occasions and the food is always great - lovely home-cooked meals with salad. Always tasty and the portions are always on the generous side. The courtyard is lovely to dine in as is the interior - a bit quirky and funky. Very cool outside in the hot summer. The service though is on the long side, we arrived to eat at 12 and the menu hadn't even been written until 20 past. This is fine if you are having a leisurely lunch but when you are with children sometimes it's better to get them eating sooner. That said, they do a few perfect dishes for kids based around pasta which went down very well with mine. Desserts are huge, a bit stodgy for France but very nice. The owners are lovely, the style is laid back, not consummate professional but that's what I really like about it. One of the waitresses was her 7yr-old daughter, and she was very serious! Never been for dinner but recommend for lunch.

We had lunch and were very pleased with our choices. One had the special midi platte of chicken pieces on skewers w salad & fries and creme burle desert. The other had grilled fish from the regular platte menu. Both dishes were excellent! Prices may be Euro or two higher than average but at least for this experience it was well worth it. Service was attentive an helpful with questions about menu items. Outside is a smoking permitted area in almost all restaurants in France and a lot of folks smoke. Pick a day with a gentle breeze.

I really like this place. I go there most weeks to drink tea. The owner is called Paul and is always friendly. They make all their meals on the premises. I especially like their cakes. They sell a selection of equitable/organic products, which is nice. They have an interesting room upstairs, which you might not notice if you do not know it is there. They organise several events on various topics. The place is fairly central in Salon, but not in a location you would walk past. So, go to the clock tower near the Fountain moussue in the centre of the town and take the Rue des Frères Kennedy (towards the north, away from the town) and the Rue Pontis can soon be found on the right.

Good home style cooking, huge servings and definitely something for everyone.
My French is reasonable but they were able to provide an English version for my husband. There are many choices, including beef en brochette (skewered beef cubes) a variety of chicken , duck and seafood, as well as vegetarian options.
This isn't refined dining, but honest good plain French cuisine prepared by Madame, her husband is the host.
Reasonably priced, and I have to say the dessert (chocolate cake) was absolutely outstanding.
I said the servings were huge....I certainly couldn't finish my main, my husband ate 40% of it, whilst he chuckled that the two elderly ladies sitting behind us demolished not only their mains, but also the dessert.
I would come back here because I suspect being good honest local cuisine, it's also consistent.

Nice menu of tartines and other items. I had the traditional flank steak with carmelized shallots and frites. Cooked just right. I wish I could have also sampled a tartine ... a specialty of the restaurant .
The owner was our server... he speaks English and was very friendly

We were there on a Friday evening and only saw about four other guests. The young waitress tried really hard to be helpful. The food and wine are overpriced. The first course was actually quite good, but so large that we were no longer hungry. The main course and dessert were not so interesting. Had a small bottle of Leffe beer for 6 Euros and a small glass of wine for 8.50 Euros and a bottle of water for 9 Euros, which is expensive. Unfortunately my wife was sick immediately afterwards, so it's not a restaurant that we will be going back to.
