There is no a la carte and the fixed price menus are a bit restrictive in choice, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. It means the food should be fresh and the chef should be up to his game and experienced in producing the all dishes he has on offer. So it proved to be the case here. There was no vegetarian option and prospective diners are recommended to peruse the menus outside before venturing in to ensure there is something to suit them.
Staff were attentive but not overly so and the dishes all arrived within a reasonable time. The food was perfectly cooked and well presented. Portions were reasonable, not too much and not too little. The ambiance in the pleasantly decorated dining room was very pleasant.
Just one small criticism, the rosé wine and the sparkling water were not sufficiently chilled for our liking. Nevertheless, we would not hesitate to return.

I came here 2-3 times a few years ago. It was overpriced but offered a unsophisticated yet eatable food.
I came back with this in mind and found nothing eatable (except maybe some of the vegetables of the main dish).
The seafood tasted "off", the fish overcooked.
The risotto was like a flooding with no taste.
As for dessert, (apple pie with some brioche), i found better in a very average bakery.
I dis not rate it terrible since the waitress was nice and this is part of the job when you run a restaurant.
To be avoided.

Dans une jolie maison Charentaise, ce restaurant gastronomique a été aménagé de manière conviviale avec plusieurs petites salles a manger.Superbe terrasse et jardin aux beaux jours
After a long drive from Spain. We stopped at Saintes for the evening. We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. After a little difficulty finding it we were delighted at what we found. The staff charming especially the lady Maitre de.My French was terrible but she spoke some English and helped us through the menu, which was delicious. Will come come again when we travel from Spain again

Good 3 course set menu which seems to change daily.
Our cheese tart starter was very tasty, the main course duck was well cooked but I would have preferred a little more flesh on it. Dessert was adequate.
Wine was sold by the glass and the merlot we were offered to taste was fine.
As you're in a wine shop, no doubt most people would be able to find something for their taste

We happened upon this place because of the electric car superchargers located here. We arrived near 2 o'clock and although they had to go and check if the chef hadn't turned off his cookers yet, we were in luck and able to have a quick menu. This place should really have a Michelin star. We got a lovely amuse-bouche while waiting and really enjoyed our starter of an egg cooked at low temperature with magnet de canard, and our main course of meltingly tender pork belly in a wonderful jus. The service was attentive and the setting gorgeous - we sat out on the Terrace by the pond where white swans were floating about. Although I ticked 'fine dining' below, lunch was very reasonably priced at 25 euros for two, and 32 euros for 3 courses. Very, very lovely.

Been using here for five years we lived in France & on return visits,in May we met friends here no complaints on the food ,but the table behind us with about 8french women on complained we were loud which was nonsense!! They were the ones being loud & were quite annoying with it pushing chairs into our backs etc! It's such a shame because I felt we were being treated badly because we are British & now even though I love the food it's more than likely I won't bother using it again,I feel the waitress could have been abit more in our favour(after all surely going out to dine you want ambiance!! Not silence!!) such a dissapointment..

I give this review that title because some reviews have said that the food at this restaurant was not spicy hot enough for English tastes. We have lived in France and know that Indian restaurants have to cater for the rather weak French tastebuds but all you have to do is ask and they are delighted to bring the spiciness up to whatever level you want. We had a lovely meal at Le Punjab and the service was excellent. Our food arrived at the spice level we requested - Vindaloo and Madras - and it was lovely. The types of rice and vegetables are limited but the food is excellent. The coffee and tea served are both superb - a lovely spicy tea, perfect. It is lovely being able to sit outside to eat, not something you do in England. They do speak some English but take your dictionary and try to converse a little in French. The menu is easy - it is Indian! Be nice to them and you will get the meal of your dreams. We are returning again and will be back once more before we leave in a week's time. Next time that we are in Saintes we will return and we will recommend it to our French friends who live in Saintes.

We were in the beautiful city of Saintes with French friends this October. We had an excellent meal at L'Adresse Restaurant in the center of the city. The meal and service were excellent. We really enjoyed our evening at the restaurant with our friends.

Poor quality food based on an "all you can eat" buffet. Between average and disgusting. Only for stingy people looking for cheap food to fill up their stomach at low cost.
The day I went there, there was many disabled people probably taken there by cynical managers seeking to keep high margins and no complains.

An unassuming place which has a lovely arty feel to it. A warm welcome and service made it a pleasant quick stop. We opted to sit in the tranquil little garden at the back and have a good cup of coffee. Reasonably priced and well worth the effort to locate in Saintes. The menu looked great and inviting and if we had been staying longer it would have been our choice for lunch.
