Couldn't resist checking this place out. We came during the height of the lunch rush, and of course there were no tables. The staff was very friendly and quickly cleaned up a table for us. Rare for Martinique, this place does not take Reservations! The place sprawls across the beachfront and over to the other side of the street. We chose beachfront, where our feet were deliciously in the sand while we perused the menu, very similar to almost all creole restos in Martinique - with the added allure of spiny lobster which was a special treat. You pick your sides, a nice touch, and the cocktails are fun, I had the Obama, a great mid afternoon pick me up of coffee, coconut and rum. Don't come here if you're in a rush, as it's a place to be enjoyed over a languid multi-course meal, during which you may wish to rise and take a short walk to visit the fishermen in their huts or on their boats, which surround this establishment. The view of St. Lucia is stunning, it looks like you could almost swim there. This is a really fun place, packing in and welcoming everyone and everybody. Please say hello to Antoine, our very friendly waiter who spoke English and was always laughing about something.

Attentive server. Clean and courteous service. The grouper with carrots was excellent. The lobster price fix was good- not like a Maine lobster but good. The lobster ravioli was tasty, imaginative and the presentation reminded me of pho. It would be helpful if the menu was in English too.

This is a superb restaurant, great food and service, excellent ambience and a really enjoyable experience. Not the cheapest but the quality of the cooking and the friendliness of the waiters made up for the prices. Highly recommended.Merci beaucoup pour votre excellent avis et votre recommandation. Et merci pour toute l'équipe. Cordialement.

The food was average and so the service a bit indifferent. Setting is of course course gorgeous when one is sitting literally on the water front. However, we only ate there once and didnt return as we found a friendlier place with better food.

A restaurant proprietor of Coco's which was closed on Mondays, directed us here for 'simple, grilled fish'. I think we should have had the lobster. Instead we had the conch (Lambri) pounded and grilled (tough and tasteless), and the sea urchin (harvested right next door) sauteed. So disappointing. the French fries were ok. And it was $100US for two (including a bottle of rose).

After Reading reviews we decided to have a nice dinner here - it was listed #3 of all restaurants in Martinique. Sometimes hype is a negative... the food was just ok - and because we expected better we were disappointed. It was not overly expensive 110€ for two (two drinks, two appetizers and two main dishes and two espressos)
They only had two choices for red wines by the glass (only 4€ each, which should have warned me) and the owner said one was not good (then why have it on the menu???) so I got the other one. Just ok. My husband had the pina colada. Again, nothing special.
We started with the foie gras appetizer which was a duck liver pate. But it was truly excellent, the best dish of the evening. I had the tuna tartare, which was fresh and looked great and had a generous portion of tuna. But it was just ok flavor wise. I've had much better....I ordered the fresh fish and there were only two choices dorado and marlin. The owner recommended the marlin. What a disappointment ! Tough, not very tasty. Had a delicious raspberry sauce (would have made a good dessert) and a decent squash purée. But nothing could complement that fish. My husband had a chicken dish- breast filet rolled around pate. Great sauce and excellent risotto on the plate, pate was great, chicken was dry. The bread was not impressive either but I have yet to find decent bread anywhere on this island.
One other complaint, we had reserved a table by the water, but when we got there, we were told rather brusquely "that is not possible". So we drove an hour to be told off. But since the sun sets at 6:15 and it's dark by 7pm, you couldn't see anything anyway so I guess it didn't matter. They were all exceptionally nice after that though. Friendly, solicitous and food service was quick (which can be an issue in Martinique). Coffee was ok and we did not order dessert so can't comment on that.

We arrived at this restaurant after a hike, we were hungry and had just followed signs from the nearby town. We felt immediately welcome, service was very friendly and food was great. It was typical local food but prepared with just that extra personal touch. Will definitely come back here when in Martinique (and we are at least once a year).

This was the best meal we had in Martinique. Will is a sous chef who serves you out of his own apartment on a gorgeous Terrace. He works there by himself and does everything - the menu, service, dishes and of course cooks. And he...MoreThank you very much for your very goods words, it's a wonderful opinion for the Willkat. All is right for you, for me it's better. I hope so see you another time. Sorry for my english. Friendly Willy

A 100 m de la plage de fond larion, O'Calebassier vous accueille dans un cadre familial, cuisine traditionnelle Senegalaise et Creole. Soyez les bienvenus
Friendly, simple, tropical, exotic flavours ... Afro, French Carribbean cuisine!!! We ended up here because it was close to our Hotel, walked there for lunch yesterday... It was so fun and good, we went there for lunch again today. Husband and wife owners make you fell at home in this simple tropical beach style restaurant. Nothing fancy, except the service and the food, which are outstanding. Everything fresh and cooked on order. Cannot rave enough.

When looking for a restaurant on the beach, I have just a few necessities - the ability to eat with a view of the water, a casual vibe, and fresh, local fare. Aqua Grill successfully meets all three standards!
Diners enjoy tables directly on the beach at Fonde Banane, with waves breaking only a few feet away. The relaxed atmosphere is conducive to Lorraine beers, feet in the sand, and delicious food hot off the grill. Whether you go for local seafood, or spring for the 3 grilled meats option, as the boyfriend and I did (ribs, poulet boucane, and merguez sausage), I trust you'll be satisfied. Large portions and excellent flavor abound.
And after your meal, you can stretch out on a beach lounger to digest all of that food!
