Very good service, well looked after. Good portions of food, not too big, not too small. Very good value for money. Great location ?

The only reason I have given this three stars is because as (mostly) vegetarians, we struggled to find enough on the menu. What was most disappointing was that when our friends visited a few weeks previously, the chef had told them that with 48 hours notice they would be happy to provide a veggie menu. But when our friend booked for our visit, and tried to ask about this, received the answer "non". We went anyway, as it was a special occasion and we do occasionally eat fish when there isn't any other choice. It's an odd ambience - rather sparse, but the service was nice. The food was delicious, as you would expect. The wine service was rather slow. So, we had a lovely night, but would we go there again? Probably not.

Homemade cuisine with a selection of local produce. homemade bread and cheese from raw milk specialties, grilled meat cooked in the fireplace country house farm ice desserts. Selection of wines and local dijestifs. Summer Terrace
An excellent restaurant in the old town part of Briancon. The lovely atmosphere of the main street of the old town continues when entering the restaurant. Friendly staff, sometimes the dishes are served by the chef personally. The food was gorgeous, I can highly recommend this place to everybody whether on a business or a family dinner.

What a great find....this was the last evening of our holiday and it was the perfect way to finish off on a high note.
It's so refreshing to find a restaurant where they are genuinely happy to go the extra mile for their clients ..it's very small, and they do 2 sittings at 7.30 or 9pm . All the staff were lovely , friendly , smiling and took the time to throughly explain the menu.. The portions were not large but we're really tasty and completely fresh and home made.
I imagine you have to book in advance but well worth it

We wanted some cosy "traditional mountain food" after a hard day on the slopes. La Pastorale was completely perfect. Really cosy (a converted sheep barn I think) low curved ceilings with a small number of tables and a great fire. We went in at 19:00 and were the only ones in there - by 19:30 it was full. Our waiter couldn't have been more friendly or helpful and was patient with my slow French. The food was standout perfect for us. It wasn't fancy but just really really well done. We went with the intention of just a main course but ended up having three because the menu and atmosphere were so good. We also enjoyed some local beer. We sat by the fire and enjoyed watching the chef barbecue other diners meat courses on the griddle above it - brilliant. I would seriously recommend this place if you like good honest great tasting food in a cosy friendly place.

What a wonderful surprise we had when we found this little gem, after asking our ski instructor Erick on where to eat near our chalet we were highly recommended this wonderful French restaurant. The steak was truly amazing and all the wonderful vegetables that were beautifully presented. The owners were so helpful translating the menu to us and exceptionally kind to our younger guests helping them choose such a wonderful meal. It made our first experience to French cuisine a very memorable and amazing experience. Finally I must say what a beautiful cosy room we had the pleasure of dining in, the ambience was truly wonderful as was the delicious homemade desserts. We will be back !!!!!

Having a vegetarian in our party is always difficult in rural France, but Triptyque stepped up to the challenge and produced an interesting, and imaginative veggie plate for my son. (Most restaurants in the area can offer no more than pasta with cheese, which becomes boring after a while). For the meat eaters, Triptyque was excellent, with my lamb shank, and my wife's Duck being well received. Hard to do better in the local area.

Restaurant montagne, dans un cadre chaleureux, on déguste des plats montagnards mais aussi une cuisine traditionnelle.
Not bad. Quite formal dining not really matched by food or service. Not sure about the dog in the restaurant. Could be an English thing- keeping dog and staff handling the food a bit separate.

Open for lunch and dinner from December 15th at 19:00 to April, 15th 2018. Le Loup Blanc, in a mountain frame... we shall appreciate, on its very sunny Terrace with beautiful sight to mountain or near the cheminey, its sophisticated cuisine and its mountain specialities (delicatessen, cheese, raclettes, tartiflette, fondues...)
If you feel like a blow out and treating yourself to a true gourmet meal then look no further! Our night at Le Loup Blanc started with aperol aperitifs followed swiftly by a starter of bone marrow. Unctuous and delicious in every way. For mains...Morethanh you si much. Enjoy your holidays in Serre- Chevalier !

On the old touristic road of Villeneuve, there are a lot of shiny restaurant window inviting the hunger people. La Refuge is hidden between them, only a light adv indicating the place. The interior is very cosy, family restaurant like. There are some words about the menu in english, but the best is to rely on the staff. We took bbq-s self made on a heated stone served to the table, garnished by organic salad. The red wine offered by the waitor was excellent.
Thanks trip advisor!
