A charming family run restaurant managed personally by the Foyles for a century. We focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients, (sourced locally where possible), specialising in Seafood and traditional Irish Favourites, there is something to suit every taste. The restaurant is set in distinctive surroundings, full of interesting artefacts covering the history of Connemara and the hotel. You can expect a professional, friendly service, creative cooking, offered at a fair price in a relaxed ambience.
Marconi is part of Foyles Hotel on the main street in Clifden. The restaurant is very comfortable and is very popular with local people and visitors alike. The menu isn't pretentious but the food is wholesome, good and very well presented. The service was friendly and efficient.

Reservations in our restaurant are advisable during July & August & Bank Holiday weekends.O'Dowds has a special traditional pub atmosphere & friendly service which has remained unchanged for decades if not centuries. The bar is small & intimate with its traditional turf fire & beautiful views over Roundstone Harbour & The Twelve Bens.
Always stop here if in Roundstone, it may not look like much from the outside but it is great food. Genuine staff, that are friendly and good for some authentic Irish chat. All this combined helps make it a special place for both domestic tourists and international. Food is typically Irish and mostly all locally sourced. Can't go wrong with any of the fish dishes, as you eat and look out onto the Atlantic Ocean. It's an unbeatable location in round stone.

My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary as we married in Roundstone and ate in Vaughans restaurant. The food was absolutely beautiful. The crab claws are always a favourite of mine and they didn't disappoint. Thank you for the welcoming us and treating us so lovely. Always a night to remember when we dine in Vaughans restaurant.

We weren't made to feel very welcome even though the restaurant wasn't full. The food was very good, although expensive for what we had, but the service was perfunctory and the restaurant didn't have a very warm atmosphere. Our opinion was borne out by the owner of our B&B who said that others had made the same comments re the atmosphere and lack of friendliness. Also, if you are charging those prices,at least give us linen napkins.

Guys Bar and snog is one of the oldest establishments in Clifden, serving a wide range of local dishes daily until 9pm. Evening traditional music sessions throughout the season. Late night music on Thurs/Fri and Sat. A selection of wines by the glass.
Had just climbed Diamond Hill and wanted something light to eat. Guys hit the spot. Centrally located in Clifden and busy for a weekend in February. Swiftly given an table, and served very good hot food. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked good. Good atmosphere and very friendly staff. Great coffee and were given a free refill which is always nice but rarely happens.

Relaxed Family run Restaurant and Hotel with breath taking sunset in the bay over dinner, fine locally sourced seafood(many local meat options also) and home grown vegetables and salad. Cosy open fire places in the restaurant make even the coolest of days enjoyable and a large open turf fire in the Bar is ideal for having pre dinner and after dinner drinks in front of. The sun Terrace overlooking the bay is a must for pre dinner drinks on fine days. Taxi service available please enquire when reserving for dinner.
Our five-star meal was accompanied by the kind of sunset that created a warm glow to every course of loca Connemara fare presented with continental flair by the cosmopolitan family who run this famous restaurant with rooms on the very edge of the Wild Atlantic way. Memorable! Monique's Dutch-style breakfasts are also an imaginative alternative to an Irish fry-up! A wonderful experience.
