A favourite for years - must book two weeks ahead for a weekend spot. Awesome food and staff however would recommend that you come here for one meal and one meal only - the ribs!

We dine here quite often and enjoy the food, the surroundings, the unassuming attentive and friendly customer service. The prices are reasonable - the dishes and the corkage. BYO - Wine and beer Delicious food usually served very quickly. Lovely staff.

Taboon in Robina serves Modern Middle Eastern food in a relaxed and contemporary setting. The Café / Restaurant cuisine is based around the traditional stone oven of the Middle East and drawing its recipes from a variety of countries such as Israel, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, and Turkey. Try the Mixed Dip plate with hand baked pita breads, a great variety of Falafels (all Vegan), or the Hummus & Lamb as fantastic starters. Some of Taboon’s popular main dishes include The Moroccan Lamb Shank Tagines, Mixed plate for 2 and unique Middle Eastern Pizzas. Vegetarian & vegan dishes are ample, like the Falafel Lunch Bowl, Hummus & Mushrooms which are also adored by foodies. The meat and chicken is Halal. For a sweet end to your meal, enjoy Taboon’s sensational Chocolate and Halva Cake, served warm with Vanilla bean ice cream or the Malabi cream scented with Orange blossom layered with berry syrup & crumbled baklava.
We visited for a family dinner. It was extremely hard to decide which of the delicious offerings we should order. In fact, our eyes were a bit bigger than our stomach but our waitress very kindly warned us when we ordered too much. It’s nice when staff puts the customer first over the need to make a sale.
We started with the cheesy garlic bread and hummus. The flavours and textures were divine. It all disappeared in fairy short order.
There was a fairly long wait for the main (though to be fair, they were quite busy) but it was definitely worth out patience. We had the mixed plate for 2, which included lamb, beef and chicken skewers (about 5 cubes of meat on each) and 4 shooftas (2 lamb, 2 Chicken). There was also generous bowls of salad and couscous and Egyptian rice. This was all very delicious. The flavours were complex, the meat tender and an interesting variety of textures. Conversation completely stopped while we ate, with just the occasional moan of pleasure. Just a heads up though. Unless you’re a really hearty eater, the plate would be enough for three people, perhaps even 4 if they’ve also had mezze. Personally, I’d recommend you just order the plate between 4 people and add extra skewers etc and whatever else you fancy. As it was, we were happy to box up the leftovers and take them home.
The only thing negative point about our experience was that the chairs were awful. Mine had sagged in the middle. I felt like it was folding me in half and I was balancing on an open square frame. There were also some sharp protruding bits of plastic wicker that I caught my shirt on. I was lucky not to rip it. The react of the chairs I could see were also varying degrees of bad.
In spite of the chairs though, Iwould definitely eat here again and recommend it to others.

Great atmosphere in this stylish restaurant which is very professionally run. From the food and wine recommendations through to the nicely paced Delivery of each banquet course, everything about our visit here was enjoyable. Great flavours in all our dishes, superb seafood and meat plates (although disappointed they had run out of lamb?). Highly recommend.

The award-winning Little Truffle Dining Room and Bar has been a favourite with both locals and tourists since opening in 2010. The popular venue is located on the corner of the Gold Coast Highway and Bondi Avenue in Mermaid Beach. Guests can enjoy an intimate and relaxed venue, allowing lovers of food and wine to indulge in the palatable menu prepared by Chef/Owner Daniel Ridgeway and Head Chef Jason Burt, whilst exploring the exceptional wine list from around the world. Little Truffle Dining Room and Bar can be split into several different areas to cater for a variety of guests in the contemporary dining room or classic dining room. The award-winning venue also offers two private dining rooms which features hand-made vintage crystal glassware and personal sound system. The smaller private room seats up to 8 and the larger up to 18.
Returned again, to a wonderfully special evening, it was an unusually slow evening. Waiters attentive, food exquistely executed, if the french manner. A restaurant of this style of french cooking is rare these days; keep up the great work.

Went here for lunch last week with the family to celebrate my birthday. The food is really good value and typically Japanese where it comes out on a little tray with the soup and salad. It's BYO wine too! There was a slight mix up with my order but it was quickly resolved.

Nothing iverly flash about this restaurant. Standard fair off pizza, burgers and steaks. Not much change from $80 for a meal for two with three drinks. Service was very pleasant.

This is a new restaurant in the local neighbourhood and it is great. It is very popular. They do all day Yum Cha and it is BYO. No MSG added. I have eaten there about 6 times in as many weeks. The food is always fresh and Harry the Head waiter is extremely friendly and happy, with a great sense of humour. Hours are 10-3 and 4.30-9 and closed on Mondays. Ph 07 55931298. Yum Cha is cooked to order, slightly more expensive at night. You can also order from the main menu. The quality of the food is exceptional.
This was a casual catching up with friends, mid-week.
What an amazing surprise this dinnner was! Absolutely delightful, each and every dish!
From our entrees, spring rolls steamed and deep fried, super delicious. To a variety of main dishes and desert. Too hard to say which ones were the best! I've often been reluctant to go out for a Chinese dinner as I find they more or less all taste the same. Not so in Dim Sum! Everything was so tasty and so delicious! We will become regulars, I'm sure.
