There is a teahouse there and that is it, nothing else. I expect them to serve great afternoon tea and was disappointed with the drinks and food. No tea terraces like Cameron HIghlands, and the views here is not great at all.

We found out, that the internet is good there and of course we went every day during our stay in the area. The food was ok. It has a somewhat not Malaysian touch. It seems to be some hip place since it was quite busy every time we came. We always used the outside Seating area where you heard the muezzin and the many swallows flying around there. Some were building nests right over our heads.
I found interesting how you had to write out your own order. But it worked we always got what we wanted.

I came here with friends after doing some of the trails at Kinabalu National Park, which is located across the road from this restaurant. We thought we would try it out because it was much cheaper and busier than the two main restaurants inside the Park. Unfortunately, the food was not very good and the service was extremely poor - they got our drinks order wrong and the food took an extremely long time. I would not come back here.

Only went for coffee and ended up with the worst restaurant experience ever.
I ordered a sundae but got a cup of mango jelly topped with coconut cream and a scoop of poor quality chocolate ice cream. My niece ordered waffle with vanilla ice cream, but got chocolate (same poor quality) and the waffle tasted sour, as if made from dough that had been in the fridge for weeks! When we asked for the manager to make a complaint the otherwise friendly and smiling waitress rolled her eyes and sighed.
This place is a disgrace to Sabah and the whole Malaysian nation.

89 Station is just right after the Kinabalu National Park on the way to Kundasang town by the side of the road. Came here during a massive downpour and the restaurant was leaking at spots but that didn't spoil the atmosphere of the fantastic lunch. Even though we don't prefer to eat meat (chicken, deer, pork), there are still seafood (fish, prawn), egg and vegetable options and lot of selection of soups. It was so good that we came here again for lunch on our departing day. Best of all, 5 dishes for less than RM80. Highly recommended for those in Kundasang area. Fish Maw Soup & Fried Local Mushroom is a must.

Read on trip advisor where is appropriate for lunch and tea break. Was on weekdays when I tried their chef special Asam fish head with rice. Was good and their sabah tea was acceptionally favoriteful perhaps was the water that was used. Clean restaurant and the server was friendly . My wife order their chocolate rice bread. The taste was very sweet but acceptable but the bread dough was little hard as compare to other breadstores in town. But this is the only restaurant that serve ala crate menu both western and Asia cuisine. They also sells pastries like cupcakes, cheesecakes etc. Give it a try if you are there because no where else in kundersang have such all in one restaurant. Plenty of parking lots.

My new favorite place to eat in Kundasang, good food at reasonable price. The location is a just 10 minutes drive from Kundasang town centre. Definitely worth the drive compared to some of the restaurants available in city centre. It serves halal malay & chinese food. May want to come early as it can get crowded during dinner time. Will definitely visit this place again the next time I am in Kundasang.

Located at the base of Mount Kinabalu, within Kinabalu Heritage Park .Provide buffet breakfast, lunch n dinner, average cost rm 50.00 to rm60.00 per pax .Slightly expensive as located exclusively near Mt .Kinabalu Park. Nice, comfortable ambience within the tropical forest. Budget travellers can stay away, many restaurants n stall selling local delicacies along the main road at the entrance of the Park.

We serve the best authentic Chinese food in Kundasang. Our chef has more than 20 years of experience serving in many Chinese restaurants in different parts of Malaysia. Tuaran mee, ginger onion fish, sweet & sour pork, butter chicken, stewed taufu and tomato scrambled egg are our signature dishes. Also, Kundasang is well known for its fresh vegetables, you can therefore bring any fresh vegetables and we will cook for you!

Food is good. I personally like the special fried mihun and tomato with scrambled egg very much.

Friendly and effective staff.
PRICE:
Value for money. We had special fried mihun, fried wet mee, tuaran mee, tomato scrambled egg, tong po pork and 3 drinks - all with RM 60.
They open from approximately 10am - 4pm
