The evening we arrived in Rennes-le-Château this was the only restaurant (of three) open in the village. However, it was a great choice, as it is a superb little restaurant with a cozy atmosphere (we sat indoors, as it was raining heavily). The food we had – duck confit - was very tasty. The lady/owner who looked after us did a wonderful job.

We enjoyed lunch on the Terrace at Les Platanes. As we weren't very hungry, we chose salads, which come in 2 sizes. Even the small size was very copious. The restaurant has a very varied menu: not just pizzas, but also meat dishes, salads, and a very good selection of desserts. Everything was well presented and tasty, and served with a smile. The carafe wine was also good quality. We noticed that locals were eating here too, which is a good sign.

Le Rebenty is one of these places where time stood still in a very good way. The place is busy every night but everybody is relaxed and in a good mood.
The food is really nice, thanks to the very friendly cook and his great skills. The cuisine is French based with a touch of Pyrenees.
The staff, they are the best, completely relaxed yet very busy to make you feel very welcome.
And a very special remark on the decoration. At first it looks a bit overwhelming, but when you give it a second look, it is just nice creating a very warm atmosphere in the whole place.
This is a real hidden gem, and I cannot repeat myself on the staff, so very friendly and warm.
Thanks guys for a really great weekend!!

Situated in the Upper Aude Valley, Atelier is open all year and invites you to come and discover his Breton specialties, buckwheat pancakes and crepes, salads, tapas and sundaes ... A pleasant setting and boasts a permanent exhibition of pottery, and a children's area available to parents .. Remember to book !!
Having travelled all day, and arriving later than we expected, we weren't particularly hungry but needed something light to eat.
So pleased that this place was recommended to us at our B n B.
We thoroughly enjoyed a beer and a crepe from the extensive menu explained to us by the lovely waitress. It was most enjoyable and did the trick, completed with a very nice fresh coffee.
I just wish I lived to closer to this fine Creperie.

150% effort from apparent chef, waiter and clearer-upper all rolled into one. Great entrecôte in Roquefort sauce but 90 minutes waiting for it. Good excuse to drink wine waiting tho! Lovely setting at a place which serves simple menu all day, including breakfast. Interesting array of locals all came to sit and sup but I wanted to get up and help poor owner as it seemed to be a one man show here. Made a meal-out a little anxious until we'd drunk so much wine we saw the funny side of it.

Since the first of april, the owner have been changed. We propose an assortment of grill meal and french traditional food. Our restaurant give you a confortable moment Under the shade of the magic chestnut tree where you can also have a cold drink and a fabulous sheep milk ice cream.
We stopped there to have a coffe after visiting the chateau. We where not allowed to sit at a table we wanted because we did'nt want to eat. Because we just wanted a cup of coffee we where supposed to seat on plastic chairs in a cornner. Althogh the place was completly empty!

We've been passing this hotel/restaurant for years and wondering what it was like and yesterday decided to try Sunday lunch there.
As a fan of 1970s decor I was slightly disappointed that the dining room has had a makeover at some point, but I'm sure no one else would find that an issue . . .
It's a lovely place in all ways: welcoming and professional staff - I think possibly of the same family who own the place? perfect service - (just right, polite but friendly, not rushed) loved the French music playing, proper cutlery, white table cloths, and the fact that there was a choice of just two menus - i.e, fresh food and nothing lurking in a freezer out the back.
Another nice touch was the wine. I only wanted a glass but the waitress opened a bottle of very good 'Piquemal' rosé for me with as much ceremony as if we were going to indulge in the whole bottle.
So, to the food. Wonderful. Big salad starter with nice dressing and interesting combination of vegetables - not fussy but tasty; lovely magret de canard with mushroom sauce, stuffed courgette and potato 'cakes', cheese and followed by huge vanilla ice-cream with hot choc sauce. The price was very reasonable for Sunday lunch and judging by the joyous large party on the table behind our, others were feeling they had made a good choice too.

First floor restaurant unassuming from outside but fantastic food, delightful interior, friendly service. Very reasonable at 141 euros for four of us, three courses and lots of wine. I can not recommend more highly the garlic mussels. The starter portion is very large but the menu also has smaller tapas size portions. Do try this wonderful little gem of a restaurant in Quillan.

This is some of the best French food I've eaten anywhere in France.
This is traditional French food but not afraid to try new ideas.
Everything is just so. For the quality of the food it is excellent value.
If you like cassoulet, then go for it, but if not there is plenty to choose from.
They dont open every night and booking is probably essential.
