We had some fantastic meals in North Korea and this was was just okay. It was really weird over looking a swimming pool. The balcony does have a great view of the Juche tower.

I visited this restaurant two times during my recent visit to Pyongyang. The Food ,service and presentation and the Whole experience was excellent. They have a wide variety of local food specialities and the restaurant is very presentable, it looks as it has been newly refurbished. The way it is made it is easy to feel as if you have a private dining experience as it is divided into semiprivate “rooms”.

the boat is moored pretty much the entire time, except one short spin every evening. the interiors are fancily done, like most restaurants in Pyongyang.
the dining area is a big airconditioned hall, but it is an amazing experience to sit on the small deck outside, watch the city lights, the traffic on the two Bridges, and enjoy one's drinks and food. the food is good, mostly korean but some international. sometimes there is live singing, even by kids at times on special occasions.
must experience if in Pyongyang.

Now as many of you know, i'm a vegetarian, this restaurant catered for me, called them up earlier and after a very confusing phone call we arranged a vegetarian meal. It met my expectations as a keen individual who enjoys some cheeky veggie banter. Now i would recommend this restaurant to anyone that is stumbling across Pyongyang. Great place, confused people!
