I found ristorante Arca listed in the guide book L'Espresso with a very high rating and decided to check it out. The restaurant is located in the center of Alba Adriatica on the main street which ends on the Lungo Mare and shares a mid block location with an enoteca of the same name. Massimiliano, the chef and his brother run a tight ship with both a seafood and "terra" menu. My 3 friends all tried the seafood and were blown away by the Brodetto and the baccala' while I spoiled myself with a thinly sliced elegant pork dish with "Patanegra" pork from the Jamon Iberico region of Spain. I have never seen this in another restaurant in Italy, although I am sure you might find it in a starred restaurant in Milan, Rome of Florence. The service was impeccable with the chef taking everyone's orders and answering questions or advising you on choices which will delight your palate. His brother is at the ready with a nicely selected wine list with options from around the world, but the majority from the neighboring Abruzzo vineyards. Fresh breads arrive at the table with the amuse bouche and the tranquil, simple, but elegant ambience help make for a wonderful evening!

Centrally located in a mansion.Elegant but warm and cozy shabby chic style.Open for over a year and a half, offers traditional dishes of meat and fresh fish every day.Great attention to raw materials, cleaning and accurate service.Very good wine with predominant attention to the best local wineries. In summer you can eat in the 'open in a garden located inside the restaurant.
Elegant with a sophisticated menu. If you like simple food, move on. I had the Adriatic fried seafood dish and it was incredibly light, tasty, and with a great selection of fish and seafood. The wine options would make Bacchus go crazy. A bit pricy, so not an everyday eatery. The owner is very pleasant and extremely competent. A must try if you are in town.

If you are in Montorio al Vomano, you must eat here! If not, you must come to Montorio al Vomano to eat here. Best food I've had in Italy.
This is a simple review so as not to distract from the main message, if you enjoy great food accompanied by equally fantastic wine, you'd be crazy not to dine here

Our fifth or sixth visit in the past couple of years, I'd endorse the other comments made by those writing in English, in the last couple of years' reviews.
On the recent (English language) reviews, two quick points:-
a.) the cave is a fascinating, (and in Summer time, pleasantly cool), place, but separate from the restaurant, and not always open;
b.) the restaurant takes its name from a local speciality, Turkey served cold, (as opposed to "cold turkey"). It appears on the menu as a lovely starter.
We first enjoyed the spaghetti alla lacrima (also offered with white wine) here; a spectacular introduction to a different way of cooking pasta, and one that we hadn't encountered in 20+ years of enjoying Italian restaurants.
Today's pasta choice was a light gnocchi with fresh porcini and a walnut sauce - seasonal and very fesh. Our main course choice was a repeat of lamb's offal wrapped in vine leaves; maybe the description doesn't capture it, but tasty.
A five star rating is high, but having enjoyed consistently great food, accompanied by nice wines from the immediate vicinity, and a very pleasant (and not overstated) hospitality, it is worth it. (I was a bit embarrassed that a complimentary remark about the house red prompted the owner to hand me a bottle of it as we left.)

L'agripub e il brewpub ufficiale del Microbirrificio artigianale Opperbacco!
The setting: an old farm in the middle of Abruzzo countryside. Beautiful views on the Gran Sasso and the Appennines. Far away from the crowds and the beaten path. The owners transformed the farm in a microbrewery, where they serve delicious beers and genuine food. We had a mix of pizzas, focaccias and the typical Abruzzo mini shish-kebabs called arrosticini. Everything made fresh, with prime ingredients. Together with coffee, we got excellent local spirits,or amari. Unforgettable food and friendly atmosphere. Too bad it's on the other side of the ocean!

Very friendly people and very proud of what they were serving us. Go for the chef's menu and let them surprise you. Honest, local with very subtile flavours. A real hidden gem. Everybody who loves Abruzzo, should honour them with a visit. Anette & Conrad from Sweden and Holland

The business has been in operation for twenty years. The restaurant is newly built. The cuisine is typical of the area and km0. The restaurant specializes in the cuisine of meat also is prepared pizza stone baked artisan. You can find: tastings of cheese, cold cuts, local wines and beers.
Lovely restaurant set in the rolling Abruzzi countryside serving outstanding food. Really worth visiting. Amazing views of hills and olive trees whilst being served by friendly staff and food, perhaps the best we have tasted in Abruzzo. (And we know there is a lot of nice food here!)

An impeccable staff, beautiful service, incredible food selection and great quality food.
We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.
It is in a great location, close to the beach and town centre of Giulianova, lovely setting with plenty of outdoor/indoor seats where you will be looked after really well. I would recommend Mille Idee unreservedly to anyone who enjoys a great atmosphere, traditional and authentic Italian Cuisine.
During our stay in Italy, we had lunch at Mille Idee every day, my two children loved gnocchi and cremini!!!
Grazie mille to Mauro, Anna and all the staff at Mille Idee.

This place is special. Even if probably at lunch it is not at his best I found a wonderful meal. Follow the suggestion of the chef, can't go wrong.
Unfortunately I was in the middle of a long trip, and I could not enjoy completely the wine and the meal (that asked for a long lasting stay) but what I had was awesome. "Baccalà" this where this restaurant gives his best. Deep work in the selection of the ingredients, love in the preparation. This is my impression after speaking a little bit with Gianfranco.
Hope to have to come back here soon.
