This has fast become our favourite restaurant in Mojacar. The happy friendly team deliver great service, the food is fabulous and that’s just the menu del dia which is also fantastic value. In warm weather there is a smoking Terrace where you can sit and eat and both the Terrace and the main restaurant have lovely views of the beach and the sea!
Highly recommended this restaurant and will be going back again and again!

Hidden away up a side street off the main Paseo but well worth seeking out. We called in for drinks early one evening and went back twice more for dinner. The decor and ambience are very good and the staff are efficient and friendly. There is an extensive a la carte menu but also a three course fixed price menu for 12 euros. We tried both. The fixed price menu is excellent with a wide range of choices for each course and the quality could not be faulted on both our visits. Our total bill including pre dinner drinks, a bottle of very drinkable house wine and the bread and alioli came to around £40 on current exchange rates. How good is that??
The only small criticism is that the mains and desserts came too quickly after the starters so no time to linger.

BOOKINGS ONLY. To avoid disappointment please calls us in advance. Restaurant and Spacious Accommodation set in Rural Almeria. Run by former London head chef. Serves international classical cuisine.
On this visit to Mojacar we have visited Casa Joya on two occasions for Sunday lunch. Each has lived up to the excellence of previous visits with superb meals for all five of us on both visits. The quality of ingredients for every course is wonderful and James' cooking and presentation is first class. For anyone who loves offal, the sweetbreads and kidney as a starter and liver and bacon as a main course, thoroughly enjoyed by two of us, are courses "to die for". I have never tasted such tender and flavoursome liver anywhere else before. There is always a choice of 9 to 11 starters and 10 or eleven mains, so everyone's taste is catered for. Be prepared to take your time over a leisurely lunch at Casa Joya. Everything is cooked and prepared for you alone here by a brilliant chef, in a restaurant capable of Seating 20-30 covers when full, so even with staggered sittings, you may have to wait between courses. But that's a detail and it's well worth it.

We stumbled on La Montana after disappointingly finding our 1st choice restaurant in Bedar closed for holidays. decided to continue over the Mountains and few miles later saw "La Montana". Feeling very hungry we decided to give it a go. Greeted by the owner in a very welcoming and friendly manner we were shown into his rustic restaurant and seated next to warming fire on a cool November day in the high Mountains. All four diners chose different items from the menu, none of us were disappointed and I was particularly pleased with my Pork Belly choice. This is a super place and will deserve a return visit when next in the area.

Very good restaurant, suckling pig is first class, but, the potatoes were soft and the veg' cold, Pizza's are very good, house wine, first class, overall having been three times it is a good place to eat, service is also very good, but hot plates are a must, not easy to get throughout Europe, UK a little better.

It was the starting point, although far from stagnate we have undergone several changes , not exclusive in the menu, due to the demand for family reunions and company , in 2011 a new dining room was opened . In addition to providing meals, is approved as a teaching center where courses were taught hospitality . Another important development was the introduction of marble plates in 2012 , being one of the few restaurants in Spain that has them. It's a modern restaurant with traditional substance . The kitchen combines the traditional with the modern, aside from making seasonal specialties , here you can find traditional dishes along with cuisine, rice, celiac specialities , desserts that combine traditional and avant-garde cuisine . The service is professional, attentive , as if you were at home. Juan Moreno's Restaurant, has the endorsement of the experience of all who work in , our years of personal experience , unique and professional service.
Visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday evening with my family. We ordered the tasting menu and my daughter also ordered the accompanying wine selection. The whole experience was a delight with fabulously presented food served by friendly white -gloved waiters who explained everything in their best English. The whole experience lasted over 3 hours and we all enjoyed it. There was perhaps too much to eat as I did not have room for the (second) dessert. but that is hardly a criticism. The selection of Spanish wines was perfect. A real find in this small coastal town and though quite expensive in comparison with local restaurants it is cheaper than its equivalent in UK.

We have ordered flaming calamari and Kofta. Both dishes were very tasty. All ingredients were fresh and spices were chosen very wisely. The best sangria we have drink in more than a week that we visit Mojacar. A suprise that we know from Greece was beer in frozen glass. A big bravo for the attention to details!

Family run bar/eatery. Good selection of breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. Beers, soft drinks, wines and spirits. The bar is located on a plaza (next to the Indigo Gym) with great views over the sea. Being back from the road we have the benefit of a peaceful location which is safe for children. Quiz every Wednesday at 19.30. Sunday roast starts at 1 clock. Fish and chips all day on Friday. You are assured a warm friendly welcome. Please note that we are closed from early Jan to early Feb.
I’ve done reviews on this restaurant before, but just had to do another regarding the standard of the Christmas Lunch we have just had.
We were made very welcome (as usual) and joined a table of about eight other couples who like us were on their own. What a great idea! We all soon got talking to eachother. There were only about thirty people eating, so it was like a family dinner, and keeping the numbers to a reasonable level ensured everyone was served in a timely manner, meaning that we were all eating at the same time.
The food was outstanding. It’s slways good here, but they really excelled themselves with the Christmas Lunch. For the main course, I had the sea bass and my husband had Turkey, both generous servings with all the trimmings and even more vegetables and meat were offered to us. Absolutely delicious. The chocolate bombe dessert was wonderful. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a dessert as much.
Served with a smile, nothing was too much trouble. No issues with anything. I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Mojácar. Congratulations to Peter, Raimunda and the team .

We are tucked away in Cortijo Grande, with views of the countryside all the way to the horizon. A family run Hostal Rural** open all year with a restaurant open to the public. Reservations are not always necessary but are advised. A menu that change's with with the season's and the fantastic produce that is available here in this little plot of paradise we call home.
The reviews on here were good, but nothing prepared us for the Wow factor when we walked inside and to our table. Stunning views of the Mountains, friendly welcoming and efficient service and a fabulous meal. This is one restaurant we will want to visit time and again.
Interesting menu and everything beautifully cooked and presented.
