This beautifully sited restaurant ( the balcony overlooks a lovely valley!) serves food that is just delicious! We had the lamb chops which were so succulent! The wine was very good and reasonably priced. The table service was courteous and discreet. Definitely a restaurant to re-visit.

We found this restaurant after meeting an American living in Priego - he was teaching the owners wife to speak English in exchange for free meals. The owner doesn't speak any English but we were able to figure out what we wanted ( the shrimp in garlic sauce was amazing). Definitely worth looking for ( Down a ámalo alleyway just across from the main square

The food here is good, I particularly liked the Secreto Iberico. The outdoor Seating area is very picturesque and the interior is also delightful, a real local Spanish feel. Good quality and a beautiful setting. And I nearly forgot, great service as well.

We had an unexpectedly great dinner at La Ribera, with a selection of classic local dishes. Every dish was well executed and presented in a classic way, unpretentiously.
I would recommend the salmorejo, the fish and the Flamenquin Cordobés.
Our waitress was very friendly and went out of her way to please us and explain the dishes despite the language gap, but we just felt at times that they were a little understaffed so she was struggling to keep up with the number of customers.
Out of all the tourist traps scattered around town, this is probably the best restaurant if you are looking for classic, reliably executed food.

I lived in an apartment near Barbacoa Leo and was tempted to visit daily because of the delicious smell wafting over to our street. Service and interior are nothing spectacular, however the food is amazing. The grilled secreto iberico is one of my all time favorite dishes from Spain, and Barbacoa Leo does it right. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

Here you will find many different tasty traditional dishes including fish and goat. The service was impeccable. At one point my knife fell to ground, and the waiter nearly caught it before it hit the ground. Shady hacienda style.

My wife and I chose this restaurant for our lunch when visiting Priego de Cordoba. It is well placed within the attractive historic area, overlooking a park and the castle beyond. There were no tables set outside as it would have been much too cold - instead we ate in the bar area where there are 4-5 tables. We found a warm welcome and we enjoyed the hearty offerings from the menu del dia. Meat was chargrilled and accompanied by French fries. There was wifi available - just ask for the password. We felt 9.50 euros for a 3 course meal represented very good value, including drinks and bread and olives. Whilst we were there, all the tables were taken with Spanish families, all clearly known to the staff as repeat customers.

Es un buen sitio para desayunar, el café y los churros están muy buenos, el chocolate más normalito. La pega es que tiene un horario de apertura muy reducido, solo para desayunar... estaría bien que también hubiera meriendas. Por lo demás estupendo.

If you are visiting Priego in a low cost trip, this is the hotel you are looking for.
Regular rooms with a/c (this is essential in the south of Spain) private bathroom and TV.
The restaurant is quite good, not excellent but you can taste most of the original recipes of the region.
The owner (Rafi) is very nice and helpful but does not speak English.
