The decor is delightful, the menu extensive, the staff monochromatic despite their long Indonesian skirts, and the food ok but falling disappointingly short of the real thing. The noodles in the Mei Goreng look more like rehydrated Chinese noodle cup contents than real Mei nests, there was no accompaniment of any of several types of authentic Conimex Sambal to spice up the dishes, and asking for kroepoek - the shrimp cracker that always accompanies Indonesian food - brought only questioning looks from the staff. But for those diners who don't know the difference it's an ok place to have dinner.

I was told this place is good to visit at the sundown hour. However our dinner was schedule for 9 PM and I did not see anything special. It has a difficult access although well signaled.
The dishes are made for 2 people and very expensive. However the quality of food is very good. My choice is pulp.
The ambient and service is poor.

This is the restaurant of the Pousada Vida Sole e Mar. It typically serves hotel guests but is worth a visit for anyone who likes good food in a nice hillside setting overlooking the ocean. We stayed at the hotel and ate several meals there; our favorite was having dinner outside on a warm night. Some of their dishes border on the fusion/asian side, e,g, shrimp with banana rice, salmon with a sweet asian style sauce. Drinks are good, including juices and daiquiris of tropical fruits and the ever present caipirinha. One Sunday night there was a talented guitar player playing classics like the Eagles etc. unfortunately we didn't see him play again. (Note: get good driving directions if you go, you'll have a short but challenging climb over a hill - common fare in Praia da Rosa.)

Go for the Sunset view and stay for the twinkling lights reflected in the Lagoon, but there are only a hand-full of outside tables. Crepes were delicious, if a little pricey. Service was excellent-as was the Caipirinha(traditional with Cachaça) Not that difficult to locate as it's a small town. Definitely a worthwhile stop if you're in Rosa.

We were already expecting the food and the price. Even though we knew, dinner was extremely pleasant. With 2 starters, 3 main dishes (plate du jour, congrio with fresh mushrooms and potatoes and the house special shrimp with cheese sauce) and 3 Deserts plus a bottle of wine it cost 161 Reais (US$38) for each (3 people). The wine list's ok but with some very good options and the menu has lots of varieties - even a vegetarian option. I highly recommend the white chocolate and strawberry tart! In addition to all, service is great and very attentive.

Omg.... This restaurant is a gem!
Not sure were to start: the view is absolutely fanstastic, the staff is very nice (especially Regis who made our night - attentive without being too 'sticky', very helpful, high quality service). The food was very sophisticated without being pretencious.
Pricey but definitely 100% worth it!

This is a good place if pasta is what you have in mind. Food and service are ok, not spectacular. Good ambience. Limited ine list (although this is a problem in all Rosa's restaurants.

The brazillian Flavor, high quality food and service with stunning view and great atmosfere.
The restaurant is amazing. You can eat or have a drink observing one of the best view of the Brazilian coast. The food is very good, specially the shrimp "moqueca". And the waiters/waitress are very nice. Really worth it to visit this place

Great value for money, good service, great location, food very tasty. I would return for sure. For seafood, a much better option than Lua Marinha, which is a complete ripoff.
