As first time visitors from Sydney and unsure on choices on a great menu we left it to Linda the manager to suggest a mini banquet. We were overwhelmed by thr quality and tastiness. The barbequed quail is a must to order. The combination seafood hotpot is also one not to miss. Service was fast inspite of a full house on a Tuesday evening. Certainly of the best Vietnamese restaurant in Australia and this is attested with walls in the restaurant full of industry accolades,

The Port Dock Brewery Hotel is a warm, inviting hotel with friendly staff, a working brewery, historic haunted cellars, tap room and has beer tastings together with quality food at modest prices. Lunch and Dinner Specials every day, Asian Buffet Thursday Nights, Live Music and Pizzas Friday Nights, and Roast Carvery buffet for Sunday Lunches. Family Friendly atmosphere. All Functions can be catered for, with an assortment of Function Rooms available for private parties, business conferences, weddings and more.
Amidst many competing pubs, we thought we'd try their all you can eat Asian buffet.
Meh, chicken chicken and chicken all done in a non-inspiring stirfry or deepfry with sauce.
Such a shame because potential was there.
Decor was new and fresh but not amazing.
Brewery.... not many beers or local beers on tap.

We went to argos for breakfast and to be honest, i wouldnt bother wasting your time if your thinking of going. First of all the service was crap, absolutly no customer service skills at all. The place itself needs an upgrade and thorough clean. The food was ok, but could do better at home in my own kitchen. The coffee also tasted like instant coffee. Price wise it wasnt too bad, so i guess you get what you pay for.

What a delightful surprise we had this morning for a later brunch. Sully' Breakfast of Bacon, Eggs, Tomato withTurkish Bread was perfection! Tried a new coffee today .. Coconut Chai Latte .. Devine!! Apple & Cinnamon Pancake with Ice-cream & Maple Syrup... Melted in your mouth.
No 1 for us now... Fabulous service & music too

This was where my uncle and I stopped for coffee after visiting the Port Adelaide maritime museum. The service was fast and friendly and I really enjoyed my coffee a lot. It was a great way to wrap up a busy day of museums. Make sure you get your tea or coffee here.

This is worth a trip to port Adelaide, a great Chinese restaurant just reopened in a new location, lovely decor and atmosphere. Same great Chinese food, the restaurant is owned by the chief and his family and friendship and food is their life. Can highly recommend, this our favourite local eatery.

This is a very popular patisserie managed by Swedish owners. A very busy restaurant near the beach that specialises in breakfast, brunch and lunches.

There’s certainly a number of excellent restaurants and cafes hidden at the top end of Port Adelaide and the Portobello is another great find.
Tucked away alongside a small marina with views overlooking Port Adelaide (old Lion Flour Mill), the restaurant is modern, cool and comfortable. Staff are attentive and bar manager obliging (yay!), the menu should appeal to almost everyone. There’s a range of interesting Pastas, Pizzas, meat dishes and sundries, all well presented and with a modern twist.
A lovely evening out of Adelaide’s summer heat and well worth the extra drive and the e tra 200m walk along the waterway. Very highly recommended.

New Cafe/restaurant, opened in March 2012
This terrific cafe provides an extensive range of vegetarian food, great organic coffee and a lovely place to connect. There is a great range of cakes and slices, hearty food for any time of the year. Often hosting arts installations or events it is always a great destination in itself, or to drop in while exploring the beauty and heritage of Port Adelaide, the riverfront and the Hart's Mill area. Close to walking and bike trails too.

We were visiting Australia from late December 2017 to late January 2018, during this time we ate out at many restaurants and pubs, took drinks in a host of pubs and cafes and visited many attractions. We visited the Birkenhead on our very first night in Australia and despite being very tired, we had a great time... Food was served quickly by pleasant staff, everything came out together and was well presented... A nice surprise since my last visit 4 years earlier was a list of craft beers available... A bottle of White Rabbit dark ale went very nicely with a plate of Salt & Pepper Squid.
