We provide a relaxed but luxurious journey thru Asias exiting tastes, we call our Restuarant style Asian Streetfood, but with a luxurious twist, and with vines you would not get on a streetcorner in Asia. To produce our Asian food our head Chef hail from Myanmar(Burma) andhis assistant have been running her own place in Thailand. We hope that you will drop by and enjoy our cosy establishment.
The food is excellent and made from best local products. The menu is changing depending on products available, and that makes it very interesting to come again. The staff is friendly and the serving is fast. The prices are -for Norwegian conditions- pretty good, and one does not have to spend a fortune. Recommend for both private and business events.

Michel Seylmagers Hus is placed in the center of Porsgrunn, by the river. The house is old, from 1750 or so, and in extremely cold winters it can be cold inside. But that's only in special conditions.
The menu isn't extremely big, but nice - and they also have a nice selection of wines - some of them for really good prices as well. Especially fir Italian wines, which seems to be the specialty in the restaurant.
The restaurant itself is quiet, not so big, and the atmosphere is stylish and relaxed. Everything is clean and nice, as are the toilets.
We did get excellent service, and great food.
Prices are among the higher in the city, but the food is worth the price - which is really nice. A main dish with first class meat is around 350 NKR, which is about the same as other restaurants that is placed along the river in the city, but the quality is really good.
We can recommend this place for anyone that would like a great meal and a relaxing place to eat it...

The restaurant looks like a nice hangout place, that should have the food to go along with it. Personally I find the food to be uninspiring, making it just another average meal that you can find almost everywhere.
In the summer it has a nice outdoor place next to the river.

Very nice restaurant. I would like to make a reveiw and give it a very good score.
Visitors from Australia wanted to try Norwegian food in a local restaurant. We looked at several menus in the town and decided that this menu had a wide range of choices and was appealing. The setting is lovely with a view of the river. Two of us ordered venison and it was delicious. There were several ways to choose how potatoes were served to accompany the dish. Service was pleasant and very quick. Although, of course, the cost of a great meal in Norway is always high this was reasonable and I will definitely bring more visitors to this restaurant.

We chose this place from its Tripadvisor rating and had already read that the reindeer was a good choice. We were not disappointed: food was fantastic. The dessert was also great. Add excellent service and atmosphere this meal turned out to be memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant!

This is where I buy my daily bread. A bit more expensive than the chain stores, but quality bread. Well worth the extra pay.

A friend suggested we try her favorite sushi restaurant. She recommended the menu under Tempura Maki/Futo category. I ordered for the futo tempura which comprise of a deep fried scampi, avocado, chili mayonaisse & sesame seeds. It was super good. In addition, I ordered a california maki. I think I will stick with the futo tempura or the other kind of sushi in this futo category. To be honest, I don't know what futo means but I can only tell you it is much tastier than the california maki. The order cost 180 kroner as I remember and you get 12 sushis. Very reasonable.
The location is near the sea, really charming. We sat on the table with a view to the sea on the second floor. We saw the boat that came from Aker Brygge. Wish I have this restaurant nearby.

Just your average sushi. They also advertise with Thai food but couldn't find it on the menu. The service was very friendly and the food was brought quickly. Just nice to eat here.
