I first had the pleasure of dining at La Polveriera in the mid 90s and have remembered it ever since. Then I was the guest of a local theatre artist, treated to the chef's favorite wines and seafood creations, including an exceptional pasta with frutti di mare. More recently, I ate here twice during a business trip to Pontedera, since the experience was so delightful my colleague and I were eager to return. The interior is comfortable and attractively decorated, with brick walls and warm colors, but in warm months nothing compares to the courtyard Seating where you can enjoy an exquisite meal under a starry sky. The 2 Euro cover charge includes a glass of the fine house prosecco along with a selection of tasty breads and focaccia. Seafood dishes are the highlight here, including an amazing main dish of cod with crispy pancetta in a Grand Marnier sauce and fillet of turbot all'isolana. Don't miss the chocolate flan, a perfect ending to a delightful meal.

Good restaurant with a typical menu, very friendly staff once we got over the fact that I wasn't french, as I speak Italian with a French accent. Very clean . Very affordable. Restaurant was full and they were doing a roaring trade in take away. Seems to say it all really.

We have been eating here consistently a couple of times in the year for almost 10 years now. Alessia and family are always a pleasure. Antipasta is a always fantastic; never have room for pasta course; main courses are Tuscan at its best; if you have room for dolce that's fine too. Their own wine is superb and we've always bought a case home with us every year. Highly recommended for a brilliant meal but not eat every day. You will have to book as it is always full - mainly with Italians which is always a good sign.

After Reading the reviews on tripadvisor we decided to eat here. It took a while to find the place but it was worth it. The pizza was very good and the staff very friendly. I was offered a piece of their speciality to try (torta di ceci), which was something I had never seen before and throughly enjoyed.

Not the best sushi and pretty forgettable. The restaurant looked classy from outside and there was a woman dressed up like in a traditional Japanese outfit so that was nice, there was barely anyone in the restaurant, the manager was a nice guy, menu needs to be better, the pages were falling apart not much variety to choose from the menu. Compared to the sushis I've had from other countries this those not hit the top list for me at all. All in all it was alright nothing special for me. I chose this restaurant for the ratings on trip advisor and it was not up to my expectations except for the decor.
