Paderborn (German pronunciation: [paːdɐˈbɔʁn] ( listen)) is a city in eastern North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, capital of the Paderborn district. The name of the city derives from the river Pader and "born", an old German term for the source of a river. The river Pader originates in more than 200 springs near Paderborn Cathedral, where St. Liborius is buried.

Surprised to find such good Indian food in Paderborn.
Had lamb briyani & it was delicious. The masala chai tea was good too.
Restaurant is very clean and very nicely decorated. Has outside Seating too and on a nice cold days it's great.
The staff was very attentive. Most can speak English and they did recommend some dishes if you are undecided.

This is my favorite Steak House in the Paderborn area, I eat here quite often and am always recommending it to friends. Not only is it one of the best fillet steaks I've ever tasted (melt in the mouth) but the side dishes are yummy too!!! The service is fantastic. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Today Sunday 28/05/2017, weather not all that good, so let's go to the Deutsches Haus in Paderborn Germany..
We arrived at 1300 our Table was waiting for us, we where Greeted by very polite, and Caring Staff, seated at the Table our order for Drinks was taken , Lunchtime Menus already on the Table , difficult choice, we have been a couple of times over the last couple of years when we visit relatives and the Food is always cooked to perfection, there is always a Wonderful Choice and that's where it gets harder to choose..we decided on Schnitzel Today, and it was perfect, start with Soup, then Schnitzel and a Dessert to follow. A wonderful 3 courses, and very filling and extremely Value for Money.. I just wish we had something like this at Home..
Thanks to the Staff they do a wonderful job..
Cannot wait until the next visit

We visited this restaurant on the 24 May while visiting family in schlangen . I have to say this is the best steak I've ever had , there was 4 of us eating and we all had the large Ribeye all cooked to different tastes and all wer cooked to perfection. The staff were realy helpful as we don't speak a lot of German it was a perfect evening with perfectly cooked food . I would recommend this restaurant world wide and I will definately be going back. I want to say I have eaten a lot of steak in all different countries and this was the best ever. Everyone who visits Paderborn must go. FANTASTIC.

The Baltasar is Paderborn's Fine Dining restaurant. The chef owned a Michelin star and the food as well as service and location are excellent. Prices are high but qual to the quality.

I have tried this restaurant to get some real italian food in Paderborn. My impression was right, it is really managed by italians and therefore the food is authentically italian (with some "adaptations" to the local market!). The service is good as well as quality/price, considering we are in Germany, and the place is located in a very central and cozy area. The restaurant itself is very cozy with a very nice atmosphere, ideal to bring some customers or have a romantic dinner. Pasta courses are very good. Considered it is in Germany, and I cannot pretend a 100% authentic quality, I am satisfied.

Visited restaurant last night and I had a 250gram rare fillet steak. It was beautifully cooked and washed down with a bottle of Malbec. We spent 3 hrs having dinner and chatted to the waiter and his cousin who's uncle owns the restaurant. Never rushed great experience.

After a two year absence my return to El-Rancho did not disappoint. The staff were as friendly and accommodating as I remember, preparing a table for 14 at the drop of a hat. The steaks are unbelievable, my grande rib/eye was melt in the mouth. Hopefully not another two years until my next visit.
