Next door to the Tanuf Residency.
Bbq meat... tamoule... everything we ordered was awesome! Cars were stopping by to get take away. Service was correct. The ambience was not the best... as they were watching football there but... I did not care... the food was super and the price really fair..

It was not easy to find the restaurant, Trip Adviser and Google maps have it completely wrong. We had to check with Maps.me, but it was totally worth it. The food is great, and quite cheap. Staff was friendly, so I'd definitely recommend it. Try to attach the maps screenshot, maybe that could make it easier

Nizwa Fort Coffee Shop is a lovely little place in the heart of Nizwa, right next to the Fort and Souq (market). It serves great Mishkaki (beef and chicken skewers), salads, coffee, ice cream, etc.
It is especially friendly during the winter season when you can sit outside and enjoy the view and good food. To our surprise, its ambiance reminded us of street cafes somewhere in Italy.

About Cherish your precious moments of Celebration Among your loved ones in the magical setting of Dar El Ezz. The complex has been constructed over 3,690 sqm and incorporates a fort like design to reflect Nizwa's historic and captivating past. The international fine dining restaurant 'Memories' boasts a Seating capacity of over 200 people and sports a design that is reminiscent of Nizwa's panoramic desert landscape. Its most spellbinding feature is perhaps the outdoor Terrace that is surrounded by cascading Waterfalls and real rock structures. The restaurant has family and VIP rooms designed on par with international standards. Dar El Ezz also has a Multi-purpose banquet hall called "Sharayar" hailed as one of its kind in Nizwa. It boasts a Seating capacity in excess of 600 people and its multi-purpose hall is well equipped to host a variety of events. One of the best Restaurant in Oman, in fact in entire middle east, they simply surprised in each and everything. Just recently opened. Not even announced to the whole world, not even their website is live, very secret soft opening. But, they are simply good. This is what i could see from their facebook page, let me cut and past here. One must see it to review.
Dar El Ezz
A date with the fairytales
Another milestone has been achieved by the Falcon for Tourism Investment L.L.L. In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Falcon Tourism Company has made a spectacular piece of art in the city of Nizwa, Dar El Ezz. This building is not only located in a 5 star location but the restaurants in it are rated the same.
Dar El Ezz complex is a shining star for the city with such beautiful interior décor that the adjective falls short of praising it. A Terrace for giving the guests a chance to experience scenic beauty mixed with posh cuisine, a blooming garden for a taste of natural beauty and small Waterfalls as decorations are just tips of the iceberg.
Luxurious settings for dining and high class cuisine have excessive importance here. The preferences of guests are of ultimate importance; there are VIP rooms for those who want to experience fine dining in the privacy of their families.
Although the complex is made by modern standard of dining but the core of its origin is still Omani. Omani culture and traditions are not overlooked; there are shops selling souvenirs representing Omani cultural heritage.
The garden of the complex stands as an area to take stroll and enjoy the weather, and in its center is placed an ecstatic beauty made by man, a three floor building with a fine dining restaurant named Memories. The lawn is lush and green for the purpose of barbecues for those who are tired of sit-down dinners. In short, Dar El Ezz has it all.
The complex has three restaurants of world class repute and a 5 star rating.
1- Shahrayar – Multipurpose banquet hall
2- Memories – International fine dining restaurant
3- Clouds - Lebanese Mediterranean restaurant (more casual dining)

It's located at Firq square which is about a 10-minute drive from Nizwa souq. The restaurant offers a nice variety of South and North Indian dishes. I ordered Mutton Masala and plain rice. The food was not exceptionally better than the Indian dishes I have had before but it was nice and tasty.

This is arguably one of the best restaurants in Nizwa. As it is the main restaurant of one of the popular hotels in the city, they offer lots of choices, even very nice buffets, especially during the peak season, when tourists start flocking to Nizwa in October and November. For us, we normally enjoy their weekend continental breakfasts (and sometimes their sumptuous breakfast buffet). We also recommend their nasi goreng - perfect for lunch. For dinner, you can choose from the many options (and not necessarily that pricey!), and when the weather is cooler, dine at the poolside. This is really one very good way to spend weekend with the family. If you're lucky, you can sometimes visit and try their dinner buffet as well. Prices are very competitive compared to similar restaurants here in Oman.

Nizwa is a small town and doesn't have too many options. This is regarded as one of the better restaurants in Nizwah. They have both western Seating and the traditional Oman type of Seating booths available. Menu comprises dishes from Chinese, Indian, Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisine. Food is quite good, portions are generous and it is very reasonably priced
