We enjoyed a lovely 3 course menu during the party (around 40 of us). The starter was a combination of 3 small dishes, main course beef and pork for everybody and desert again a combination of 3 dishes. Everybody enjoyed themselves, food and service were great. We would definitely recommend de Kroon.

We happened upon this magical place by accident, and it is a complete hidden Gem.
Set in the heart of a beautiful wood, with endless cycle and walking paths and tracks, the Uitkijk is nestled on the top of a hill.
Had it not been fully booked we would have stayed the night with the little ones as it is welcoming, warm, incredibly smart and most importantly, cosy!
We only had a couple of burgers on the Terrace, but they were outstanding, and they were wonderful with the children.
The Apple Pie was typically Dutch and yummy, and the children spent the afternoon planting in the garden with the new owner, Helen, or playing in the adventure playground in the woods.
We will definitely make the trip back from Amsterdam, and perhaps with a group of friends as they only have 13 rooms, and they look lovely.
Thank you Helen and your team, if things are this nice a month after taking over, looks like this will go from strength to strength.
If you are in Amsterdam, and want a weekend away..... This is the place to come!

This restaurant is on a hill a little bit outside the village Holten. The accomadation is very informal like a warm house. Specially when it is cold outside the sphere inside is very warm. In summer time there is aspacious Terrace with a nice vieuw down side the hill. The kitchen is of a good quality and a very reasonable price/quality relation.

The restaurant is located in the street parallel to the main shopping street between the two public squares. Although it has been opened more than 35 years ago, the restaurant is quite modern thanks to recent renovations.
We had dinner there with 7 friends. Before we sat down at the table, we were offered to have an aperitif in the Seating area with a fireplace. There are also two outside areas. The staff is professional and friendly.
A special feature of this restaurant is that they sell one liter bottles of water for just one euro and they even donate this amount to charity! Food and wine were great and for the price we paid we all said it is very good value for money.

We are visiting friends and always drop in here after a long day and we are never disappointed. I had the mixed grill, my wife the fish and chips and our friend the steak. All were excellent and the big fries were awesome. My wife and our friend had the Dame Blanc and the "little desert" which was what the chef was using that day. Excellent as always. Don't be disappointed if you go on Mondays as but is closed.

My husband and I have been living in Rijssen (a little city in the east of the Netherlands) for just over 4 months now. We have been looking for a nice restaurant to go to whenever we have something to celebrate or to treat ourselves. This past weekend we tried Buena Vista and wow! What a lovely discovery!! We walked in to find a restaurant nearly packed to the brim but the waiting staff found us a table and promptly brought us there. We had a look at their menus and they have a really wide variety of dishes and drinks. We ordered drinks and a tapas to start with. Despite it taking a bit long to arrive, it was delicious (we had chicken bites with honey mustard sauce)! We decided then and there that we'll be back to have only tapas. We both ordered a pork dish as a main and we had it infront of us in no time! It was absolutely lovely. It had enough sauce, wasn't dry at all, it had some veggies on the plate and there was a side order of fries and salad. After all that delicious food, we decided to have dessert. My husband had tiramisu and I had creme brulee with ice cream. I didn't want the ice cream as mentioned on the menu and it was no problem at all to have it substituted by a different flavour. The creme brulee was bit of a let-down but I thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream. All in all it was a wonderful dinner and night out. They service was good and the atmosphere very relaxed. One little negative was that the music was a little too loud which prompted everyone to speak louder and the lights were too dim (my husband couldn't read the small print on the menu). Buena Vista also has a party hall which is directly adjacent to the restaurant but this was no problem as we never heard any loud noises or rowdy behavior. I would definitely visit this restaurant again but think that next time we'll reserve a table to avoid disappointment (I consider us lucky that we got a table so quickly this time).

I dined here with a customer.
Before the meal we were offered an ouzo on the house.
I choose the keftedes, greek meat balls and a grill of pork. The dishes were both excellently prepared, and tasted very traditional greek
excellent meal, friendly staff and a low price !
65 euro to dine with 2 incl drinks

We recently gave this place a try using our Albert Heijn discount stamps which offered the second 3 course menu for free. It allows you to choose from a preset 3 course menu with the following choices: meat, fish or surprise.
I took the surprise, my wife took the meat. I got an appetizer with salmon and tuna. It was nice and tasty. My wife got a salad with chicken chunks in it.
For the main we both got a small piece of chicken with curry sauce, some baked potatoes with skin, a tiny salad to share and a few pieces of beetroot. The flavor was okay, not bad, but also nothing really special. It sure wasn't a whole lot of food which was my biggest concern.
For the desert we both got a piece of ice. It was nice and tasty.
All in all, especially considering we got one meal for free, it wasn't a bad deal. I did get hungry again later on the evening due to the small portions though.
Staff is friendly, the place looks nice, there's free parking behind the restaurant. I did read some reviews that some of the staff has a handicap, we didn't notice that it any way.
It did take quite long to get the food served, although the restaurant was far from full. Would have been nice if it was a bit faster.
Payment only using cash or PIN. No credit cards of any kind are being accepted.

Leuke kleine kroeg voor de rock en blues liefhebber. Muurschildering van once upon the time in de west. Geregeld leuke bandjes op zaterdagavond.
