New Westminster is a historically important city in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia, Canada, and is a member municipality of the Greater Vancouver Regional District. It was founded by Major-General Richard Moody as the capital of the new-born Colony of British Columbia in 1858, and continued in that role until the Mainland and Island Colonies were merged in 1866, and was the Mainland's largest city from that year until it was passed in population by Vancouver during the first decade of the 20th Century.

Has not been a great spot to eat for a long time. Overpriced and underwhelming, not a spot I would go again. Revamping of the menu would be good, downtown prices shouldn’t apply here. However staff is professional and very courteous, definitely impressed with that!

We decided to order a little of this and a little of that while a much business strategy meeting took place. We had the teriyaki wings, sweet chilli wings, rib lets, nacho poutine, fire dusted calamari and onion rings. The food was great. I must say the milk shakes were bang on I had the chocolate peanut butter!!! Great food not just burgers.

Had the cheese appies. Very nice. A great snack for between main meals. Perhaps a tad on the salty side - especially for those watching their salt intake.

We have wanted to try this restaurant out for some time now and finally had a chance. Very disappointed in the meals we both had. The schnitzel lacked seasoning, potatoes were cold, veggies not cooked enough but the red cabbage was good. The worst part of the evening though was the condition of the ladies rest room, no toilet paper or fresh towels from the dispenser. Would not come back

Halibut is excellent. Usually very crowded. Overall lovely fish!! Enjoyed the experience. Server forgot my grandmas meal however it took no time to come out. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I recently had the stress of having to find a quality Greek restaurant that would not only accommodate our large number of 60 people, pack it in a presentable manner AND deliver and Taverna highly impressed us! I spoke to one of the owners and...MoreYou are very welcome! We're so happy that we could have helped for your corporate lunch and to hear that everybody enjoyed themselves and the food. Let us know if we can be of assistance again. Thank you for choosing Taverna Greka for your event.

Took the whole family for dinner the other night. The food was delicious and plentiful. Service was outstanding, they were right on our every need. Price was very reasonable. Their sashimi serving portions were very generous and we really enjoyed the tuna and salmon. Would totally recommend this restaurant.

So, the monster burrito is MASSIVE. Even bigger than expected. My husband couldn't finish it even though it was delicious.
I had the tacos carnitas and they may have been the best tacos I've ever had.
The service is a touch slow, but you can see they are hustling hard the whole time. The food is 100% worth waiting for, and you can enjoy a nice cold beer and some chips and salsa while you chill.
Check this place out. It's fantastic!

Three of us dropped in at Wild Rice yesterday in time to take advantage of the Happy Hour menu. Not many people there at 5:30 on a Monday afternoon. The Happy Hour dishes we tried—squid; spicy beans; yam frites—were delicious! And wine at 5 bucks a glass; can’t beat it. The only menu item we didn’t like were the duck tacos; however, I mentioned that to our server and he whisked the plate away and took it off our bill. I wish I had the name of our server; he was so friendly and attentive and helpful. The best service we’ve had anywhere for quite some time. We look forward to going back again soon! (Hopefully when warmer weather comes and we can enjoy the fabulous river view.)

Street parking by the metre outside the front of the entrance. Love the atmosphere - good date spot but also for families too. Portions are decently large and full of flavour. Being from SE Asia originally, the food is quite authentic.
Very busy around lunch time, lots of customers from the nearby hospital, but calm and we were seated instantly when we came on a Friday night. Really great service too.
