The unofficial capital of the Cappadocia region, Nevsehir makes a great central base for exploring the surrounding area and its many underground cities and countless fairy chimneys. Founded as Nyssa by the Hittites more than 3,000 years ago, Nevsehir has historical attractions from many eras, including the ruins of the Ottoman citadel overlooking the city and the 18th-century Kursunlu mosque in the Damat Ibrahim Pasha complex. Nevsehir Museum, one of Turkey's finest, is also very popular.

Kadin girişimciler restoran
This is a women's co-operative operation. The local ladies work together to create delicious local dishes, thus liberating them from their homes and possibly getting them into work, with others in similar situations - widows, single ladies etc.
They work together, and they are happy to let you watch them in the kitchen and other prep areas, making pastry, fillings, putting dishes together, everything. Fresh, fragrant, from scratch - simply delicious, deliciously simple.
This is a great place to go to get simple, well prepared Turkish food, at cheap prices. The menu is simple and has pictures and english translation. The ladies were lovely!

Our restaurant offers great choice of traditional cappadocian, turkish and international meals paired with specially selected wines from Cappadocia and other wine regons of Turkey. It is also distinguished with its breathtaking Panorama of Cappadocia and professional service.
Good service, good food but of course $$$ :) Slow cooked lamb was good, dry meatball good, traditional taglietelle was also good- btw they changed it without a question because the first one served dish was salty for the little one...I may go again...Atmosphere is a bit of avarage, dont expect a cozzy one but trasitional food worths for it.Not for strollers, ladders at the entrance...

We went there very early (11am) for a quick lunch between two activities, and that was a pleasant surprise. Service and setup are pretty simple, but the food was cheap and honestly pretty good. It was my first (and unfortunately only) Turkish Pizza, and it was very good. Obviously freshly made in their oven. I had a vegan spicy potato pizza and my fiance a meat based one.
Great inexpensive quick lunch.

We went to this restaurant and show as part of our tour group travelling in Turkey.
We enjoyed our food and loved the show.
The dancers and staff encouraged the audience to participate in the dancing which was great fun.
We then sat back and watched the belly dancers, twirling men and other traditional dancing.
This was the only cultural show that we got to see, so have nothing to compare this with.
Glad we had the chance to see this and it will be one of our many fabulous memories of Turkey!

In the middle of our tour, we stopped at this restaurant. Few stairs or elevators for elders. Magnificent lunch buffet started with: Wedding soup, appetizers, salads, main courses, desserts and fruits. Only drinks are excluded, rest is part of the buffet. Many tables with guide's name. Great service and fantastic food.

We were taken there by our tour guide. We have been advised to taste 'testi kebab'. The meat was very 'hard to chew', we didn't enjoy it much. From our previous experiences, we knew that this particular meal should have tasted much more delicious. So, this is not the right place to eat 'testi kebab'.
Another point that we did not like was the fruit part. We have been offered watermelon at the end of the meal but the color was all white and it was tasteless. If the product is not good, they shouldn't have served it to the customers.

We stopped by on the way back from the underground city, as we wanted to explore some areas outside the tourist hangouts. We were received with such warmth that the language barrier was easily overcome. My friend was vegetarian, and they easily understood and accommodated.
As appetizers, they brought a cornucopia of fresh, flavorful vegetables: ratatouille, salad, yoghurt with corn, etc. , followed by an excellent soup.
The mains (my kofta and my friend's grape leaf rolls) were attractively presented on sizzling iron plates mounted on wooden trays. The sauces for both were perfectly spiced and complemented the flavors.
The price of 30tl per person, beverages included, seemed like a bargain given the quality of the ingredients, the care in the preparation, and the friendliness of the service.
