We enjoyed our time here. The sunny day with a group of friends. It's spacious but on warm days can be very popular. The service was quick and efficient and we certainly liked the food. One little notice: our calamari fritti were very salted, everything else was as we wanted it go be.

It is really nice italian restauran which I would highly recommend especially for the icecream !!! It tastes great - reallyhome made taste , I would say even in Italy it is not so esasy to find such icecream
I tried a pizza as well and I must say it was very good as well but still ot so good as in Italy. The pastry was thin and crunchy whichis good but the size is a little bit too small. The staff if very friendly and the atmosfere is great...the closure of the road is a bit annoying but the overall impression is great. I watched the first football game of the european championship in there ( poland-greece match ) ..eating pizza and icecream, drinking wine, watching austrian people cheering polish team...what can be better then that ;))

For less than 11E at lunch and 15E at dinner and on week ends, all you can eat on the either hot or cold running carpet. All you can eat formula and running carpet are often of poor quality but not at Madarin!! There is lot of choice from starter to dessert, you just grab and eat!! It is fresh and tasty at the same time, and no need to worry about the final bill like in most running sushi, or have to raise and have to go to the buffet for second helping (Which is annoying when you are with friends).

The Preshchitz Wiengut & Buschschenke (Winery and Wine Bar) was a real treat. This is a restaurant with a winery in the basement. We had a very light dinner here; meats cheeses and lots and lots of wine. This part of Europe mostly specializes in white wines, but here they had some very good reds as well. We stayed within walking distance from here which was essential for our trip back after we were finished.
One of the people we were travelling with has an uncle that lives in this neighborhood so we stayed at a local inn and were brought here for our evening meal while here. We all had a great time enjoying good food, fine wine, and great company. After dinner, we were given a tour of their winery and purchased several bottles to take with us.
If you make it here, I suggest you try the Trockenbeerenauslese. This is a wonderful desert wine that is a real treat. Also, be sure to try their Zweigelt. This is the first wine produce by the son of the owner and Preschitz second generation of wine makers. It's actual quite good.
If you’re visiting this area do not pass this place by.

Conveniently located on the main street, entrance via a small alley way, you will see the sign outside.
Pizzas are freshly made and the standard size is probably enough for two if you are not that Hungary.
The side salad dish is really a main course in itself!
They also make pasta dishes (of course!).
Only thing to note, they only take cash.
Hope you find this useful!!

We had an organized lunch time family reunion at the restaurant "Zur Alten Mauth" for some sixty guests and how great this once in a life-time gathering was...
The quality of the food (ordered a la carte) from a pre-set, yet with lots of selections to choose from, menu was outstanding and the service was very friendly and efficient.
In spite of the rest of the restaurant being equally busy
The room set-up for our gathering was very accommodating with many of our family members on the elderly side and there were quite a few small children attending as well, the washrooms were very accessible and clean.
There was crisp linen and polished glass / silver ware.
Certainly this place was a great choice for having our event.

Dont get distracted by these negative reviews. We go to all sorts of place, 5 star and Heurigen. THIS PLACE IS TOP all considered. We go to Weiden/Neusiedel every year, and the kids - still - love that place. the food is really nice, tasty, the staff friendly, and the price level very good. the kids storm off and only come back once the food is on the table, scoff it and then shoot off again. The sweets/konditorei is my wife's first choice in this area.

Great location for refuelling after power-shopping at the nearby outlet mall or swimming in the lake. Food is as can be expected of course, but service is very quick (we used the touchscreens for ordering) and the overall appearance very clean. Kudos to management of this branch!

Very good fish dishes. Assortment of wines (more pricey than in other restaurants). Nice surroundings. Good and fast service. Everything what is needed to eat simply, traditional austrian cuisine. There is many tables in summer garden and inside, so reservation probably is not necessary. Cost of the main course and something to drink for two persons: approx 35 eur. Generally this restaurant is worth to visit.
Free car parking close to restaurant.
