Small restaurant in the heart of the old town.
Fois gras excellent but Jarret de cochon which I expected to be pork knee turned out to be bacon on the bone if that makes sense. Husband had gambas followed by veal with delicious mashed potatoes mixed with olives. A good experience. About 100e uros for two including a $40 euro bottle of pouilly fume

Visited this place because recommended by Tripadvisors customers as #1 in Nancy. Different feelings... located at narrow street (not central location), small facility inside and a few tables outside just very close to regular street. Nothing interesting around but is ok if you are not celebrate something special. So we had a rabbit fillet (which was not taste as a rabbit too much bread crumbs) and a sweetbreads for my husband. The both portions were unusual small. The taste was not impressive just ok. The service was good and carefull. The best thing that a restaurant was opened at Monday night which is very rarely for small town.

After several attempts and disappointments, we have now found a restaurant in Nancy that we really enjoy visiting. The VFour is tiny, with room for perhaps 20 persons inside and a couple of tables outside in good weather, situated close to the Lorraine Museum and perhaps 10 minutes' walk from Place Stanislas. It is pleasantly decorated in mauve (they call it fuchsia). Service is friendly, more informal than in much of France but very professional. The menu is short - a two-course business lunch for Euro 21, three-course for Euro 31.50 or five-course for Euro 65. The dishes of the last of these can also be ordered a la carte, pushing the price up.
We visited twice within a week. The first time, we both ordered the three-course menu, which comes with an amuse bouche up front and mignardises with the coffee. The amuse bouche was a very original peanut and cepes cream - elegantly perfumed and quite delicious. The starter was a cold courgette velouté with goat cheese emulsion, olive oil and grilled dried fruits - again a tasty and unusual combination. The main dish consisted of chicken breast stuffed with foie gras accompanied by dauphinois potatoes - more conventional but cooked perfectly. For dessert we were given vanilla creme brûlée with caramelized apple, a little too sweet for my taste. With a large bottle of mineral water and two coffees, we paid Euro 77. Six days later, also at lunchtime, my wife chose the two-course lunch with salmon trout and couscous (excellent) and a wild-berry dessert. I went for the four courser; this began with a brilliant tomato and mozzarella layered terrine with shrimp, followed by ducking fillet with julienne summer truffle, then a small cheese platter and - again - the creme brûlée (to test whether it is always so sweet - it is!). We drank house wines - a glass of chardonnay for my wife and a Bordeaux for me; both were good. With coffee and mignardises, the bill was Euro 104.
This will now be the restaurant we visit when we are in Nancy.

This was a lunch stop on the way, not too much of a detour from the motorway, so very convenient. The restaurant is small, with a stylish and cosy dining room inside, and a wonderful Terrace for warmer days. The food, though a little heavy on the meat, was refined and tasty, definitely above the "countryside average". Service was excellent: genuinely friendly, warm, fast and efficient. Perfect!

Michelin star is very often an indicator of a quality but at the same time the restaurants that receive that award tend to concentrated too much on eccentric combination, molecular cuisine, fancy presentation and a customer is left with a creation that looks very well on a picture, costs a small fortune and leaves him hungry at the end of the day.
La Maison dans le Parc combines wonderfully new advances in the culinary art with the basic function of restaurant: to feed people and to expose them to a new culinary experience. The good food gives you satisfaction because it looks good, it smells good and it tastes good.I left the restaurant happy because my senses were very happy with the experience.
Unfortunately I could stay only for a lunch (which has a very good quality to price ratio) but I am sure that Las Maison is also a great place to celebrate a special occasion in the evening.

Come and taste a traditional French cuisine carefully prepared by the chef, in a warm setting just a step away from the city.
It is easy to walk right past this gem of a restaurant hidden in plain sight on a corner. Great French style cuisine with daily menus, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Perfect for lunch while visiting the nearby Musee de L'Ecole de Nancy, or a walk in the Parc Sainte-Marie.

Ordered takout - the owner was very nice - the food was great! Would recommend if you are staying close to the train station!

Fabulous wrap bursting with fresh vegetables of your choice. The wrap was very light but overall it was a filling and healthy snack in a predominantly meaty area of France. The panini Rimini was equally as good, enjoyed on a second visit. The staff were great, very friendly, keen to try out their english and find out where we were from and what brought us to Nancy. They were patient with our attempts at french, until our fluent french speaking daughter helped us out.

Recommended by a friend who had been previously and not disappointed. Definitely not formal dining, place was full of students and young families, but just about the best damn burger I've ever had in a restaurant. Plenty of choice and great to have a burger...MoreHello Derek ! Thank's a lot for this wonderful comment ! We are glad you appreciated your meal at Voyou ! We hope to see you soon ! Matthieu
