I was recently a guest at a dinner held at Am Kamin. We had been driven out from Dusseldorf and it seems to me it is a little tricky to find ...... but what a find!
The building is all authentic old-world charm. The service gracious and professional.
The young chef is very talented and his kitchen team and servers excellent.
The chef is a friend of Andreas Bender who is one of Germany's new young winemakers. I suggest you order a bottle of Bender Riesling with your dinner...... guten appetite

Had lunch with a colleague who brought us here. Good salad, and I had a tomato cream based pasta that was good. Colleague had a good basil gnocci. Interesting decorations with faux Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida paintings on walls (in the Men's room, the stalls even have "Sophia" and Lollo" painted on them!). Not great Italian food but pretty good in an area where Italian food can be hit or miss sometimes.

This place has great food, drinks, service and ambience. Its really nice to dine outdoors with the view of the river and the greenery around. Everything is fresh and delicious.

Quite nice atmosphere Personelle takes care of the guest with a distance Selling beverages seams more important as serving food in a speedy manner It seams the kitchen is to small or badly organised Food quality quite above average but not a woww expirience

It was really nice to sit outside and enjoy good food and good company. The Squuid was excellent and the fish platter was very nice. The service is excellent, friendly and attentive.

So there were two problems with this restaurant: the location, in a garden centre which for, a reasonably expensive restaurant, I found it bizarre that a glass door separates you from people choosing their garden furniture. Secondly the service was poor! We booked for a celebration, to which we invited 15 people, so you would reasonably expect that they were prepared to cater for our party and other guests, basically they didn't. I will not dwell on their failure in this department, but it was disappointing!
The positive is that the restaurant itself is well presented and cosy, the staff were friendly enough and the food was good!

We regularly eat here for 1 year and never got disappointed. The owner is exceptionally friendly. One of the best chinese restaurants where I have ever been!

We found this restaurant via tripadvisor. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. For us this was a good way to try Portuguese food. We even saw the chef, which came by to see if everything was ok. The restaurant has comfortably chairs and it looks modern. Thank you!

We came here after my nephew's baptism and the staff ably accommodated our large party upstairs. The food was well made and the coffee and desserts were excellent. A great spot to meet friends or family and very baby-friendly.

From the outside, in broad daylight, the place looks dark and dingy. This is mainly due to the layout of the building and that it is dingy. I needed to use the light on my phone to read the menu as I left my miners lamp at home.
The waitress was friendly without being quick or exceptionally efficient.
We ordered the 10 plate starter to share, which was nice, it would have been better had the dishes been described, so we knew what we were eating.
I ordered the beef Tapci, which was very good but could have been spicier.
My wife had the Couscous with chicken which was good.
To finish my wife had a Gewuerz Tee which had an extremely strong flavour.
