This is a nice sports-themed spot with lots of big screen tvs and memorabilia. I recommend going on "wing nights" which are Mondays and Tuesdays, it's a great value and very filling. You can also get the deal on Takeout orders. I recommend the big's ultimate wings, which are giant, battered and sauced with a sweet, mild, almost bbq -like sauce. I also recommend the butter buffalo if you like something with a little kick, but not too spicy. Great for large groups, friends, families and anyone wanting to watch a major sporting event in style.

Intimate restaurant in the heart of downtown St. John's, Newfoundland. Operating for over 17 years,Oliver's is a favourite for great seafood, steaks, fresh pastas and mouthwatering housemade desserts. Featuring intimate booths, warm colours and a fantastic wine list. Serving lunch and dinner weekdays and brunch and dinner on weekends.
First time eating here and the food was fabulous. I ordered the Balsamic Chicken Fettuccini and it was delicious! My husband ordered pan-fried cod and it was fresh and cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend this place and plan to go back again and again.

Wow. Raymond's is just fantastic. Service is just perfect. The atmosphere in the dining room is absolutely gorgeous - down to the lighting, the volume, the wallpaper...everything. We got the three-course meal with a cheese board to start. Everything was fantastic but the highlights were definitely the beef tenderloin and the potato-stuffed pasta in a lamb ragu. If I had one complaint (and it really wasn't that bad), it's that the desserts were just okay. Carrot cake with homemade cottage cheese was missing something to cut through the heavy, flat flavours and the plum dessert with sorbet was one-note.
However, I would come back for sure. It was a 5-star experience!

Casual and comfortable dining, fresh seafood and happy hour tapas in the heart of downtown St.John's, Newfoundland.
This place is an absolute gem. A cozy, intimate restaurant that offers an amazing array of seafood dishes. On my visit I had calamari (just order it) and the cod, which were both cooked to absolute perfection, and fresh fresh fresh! My dinner date had the shrimp appetizer and the salmon, also cooked superbly and with just the right balance of flavors. The portions are on the large size as well, offering a great value for your money. The service is outstanding, with friendly, knowledgeable staff who were well versed in wine pairings as well (their wine list offers a lot of variety for every price point). I recommend this spot for anyone looking for a fresh, delectable meal. Guaranteed to impress and satisfy. Thank you, Saltwater!

Hungover and needing something to fill the void, a friend suggested we meet her at Lucky's. Thank god. Their chinese food was fantastic. Canadian style, but homemade, it all tasted like more. I'm a little spoiled because I live in Vancouver, so lots of amazing Chinese food around, but if this place was open in my neighbourhood, I'd be poor from eating there every night.
We all had lunch specials, everything was fantastic, and get this you guys -- the eggrolls are HOME MADE! Same with the plum sauce!!!!!!!!!!!
We went away very happy and full, and the hit to the wallet wasn't too bad! Will def go back.

Had a free lunch buffet on my birthday. Not many places offer that in the St. John's area, all you need is ID to prove your birthday, and your set.
Service was above average, food was fresh & hot, taste was good.
I'll be back next June !
Even though it was free a did leave a tip as if I was paying, the wait staff did come by twice and are still working hard.
Good food, great value.
